Beto Does it Again

Spreading out the power sources seems like a prudent idea—as long as there’s enough reliable power to meet needs in a power emergency.

Ultimately, the State may need to build and operate an emergency coal plant that only comes online during power emergencies. Normally it will be mothballed. Of course that will cost $, as will paying the workers who will train, play ping pong and lift weights in the break room 95% of the year… Maybe bump up the taxes on cigarettes and vapes to pay for it.* Having extra generation capacity is what’s needed. So do it.

*I don’t like licorice, romantic comedy films, artificial sweeteners, or fake meats either, so bump up the taxes on those as well to pay for it. :D
We don't need to build an emergency plant. There are multiple plants that Obummer required be mothballed. Get THOSE up and running, especially now that the SCOTUS has given the authorization needed to run those nasty, foul, EFFECTIVE coal plants without the EPA nanny-isms.

Also, anyone who claims to care about climate change and opposes nuclear power has no credibility at all and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Correct.

Same for hydro power—where the water + change in elevation makes it available.

Yet many so called environmentalists consistently oppose both nuclear power and new dams. Look, I get the thrill of kayaking on rapids and trout + salmon fishing on the wild rivers. But, you can’t have it all. It’s about priorities.

It’s as if the hard core environmentalists had some other overriding agenda—one that they don’t want to speak about in public…

Say, wait a minute...

What happened to Mississippi...

I thought they were supposed to lead the nation in these sorts of categories...

Francis is probably including all the illegal immigrants in his healthcare rankings. All those immigrants don't have insurance or access to healthcare. So he would just make the situation worse.

Beto's new pitch to young Independents--Education:

I'm calling ********. A public school speech therapist who's obviously a millennial and kinda looks like Jack Black in School of Rock does not generally vote for Republicans. Obviously we have secret ballots, so I can't disprove his claim, but I'm just not buying it. It's a lie.

Mr D
I agree
I wonder if anyone has checked if he votes in primaries. First place I would look.

In Palo Pinto County, he might vote in Republican primaries, because that county is extremely red, so it's pointless not to. He's not voting for Republicans in the general election.

I could see that happening...I often voted in the D primary when I was in Travis due to the fact that local judicial races mattered to me. My one vote might not matter, but I wanted to at least do my part to ensure we had decent jurists on the bench...

Ahem!

There is no bovine manure in the Beto camp…

Then again, Beto is just one letter away from Bevo.

:cow:

You’ve got to hand it to Texas.

We have no shortage of colorful politicians.

He's not colorful. Ann Richards, Carole Keeton Rylander Foghorn-Leghorn Strayhorn, and Kinky Friedman were colorful. Beta is just a big ***** who gets ridiculously favorable media treatment 24/7.

It's obviously a lie, because that's all Francis does. It is easier to identify to understand the purpose of the lie too. He does this to make any Rs on the fence feel okay in voting for a D.

No but he is infected. Maybe the bacteria will turn him some other color though.

Beta is just a big *****

Hmmmmmm...

Then could one of these be Beto's dog?

Need to get a Libertarian up on the stage too, just to show the possibilities.

Republicans are working hard to keep them off ballots too.
