Stop ******* trying to go back and forth with me because of my reply .I don't give a **** about this board .Its public you said what you wanted to say. I came on here and replied because , I didn't like what was said. If I didn't know that some of you are the same rat *** fans that are talking to players like yall happy they chose Texas then wouldn't have cared . Don't get mad at me because you fake and you don't want to look at yourself that way . Home opener next season . I'll inbox you my name that way if you are there . Are you done?

Oh my. That was hilarious. I actually laughed out loud.

OK. Fellow posters. I'll stop now. Just like with Seattle, y'all don't need me messing up the board anymore with my silly fights.

Hahaha. I've never seen so many **** on this board from one poster.

Maxy, the name is Helen but most folks call me Big Helen. I don't have a Facebook page. I'm old and my husband is dead. He was an *** so it's ok. My son brings me to the games. I sit right there courtside where the refs and especially the opposing coaches can hear me. I'm sure Tasia is a nice enough girl, but I'm not sure I can say the same about you. I have only met a few of the players in person and when I do, I usually say "good game" or "better luck next time".

I'm old school. I say nice things in person. But at a party, if you've got nothing good to say, well then come sit next to me.

Now let's all get back to what's really important. How much do we dislike Kim Mulkey?

No wait. That was last week.

Oh. I know.

Go Horns. Beat Cal! :hookem:

Oh. Ha ha. I thought this thing :vy: was holding a peace sign, but my son has informed me that it means Vince Young.

Ha ha ha.

Are you done?
Yeah . I am going to call it a night . I'm sorry eveyone is so upset with my reply. But hey in my defense defense I made some of the Baylor fans feel bad about them selves for trying to blame E and Coach A for their ghetto *** coach's behavior . But at least they don't trash their on players as bad as yall do . Now I'm done

I don't have a problem with that pass, it wasn't a bullet pass or hard to handle. Every player needs to do their job.
In watching this game again to recall what the heck went on (learn a little more when I'm calmer), it really wasn't as bad as I was thinking. Yes, we almost lost it in the end to that inbounds pass from Brady to Kelsi, but watching it a few times, it was not a bad pass at all. Kelsi was the only one open and Brady had to get it in around her defender. It hit Kelsi's hand but she never stepped towards the ball. She just let it deflect out of bounds. It's all moot now.....we won, but I think we all get carried away in the heat of the game during all the ups and downs.

In watching the game and rewinding at certain points, it looks uglier on paper than what it really was. Our shots just didn't fall for some more than usual. Just hoping we TCB Sunday. I love this team! All of them! Sometimes I want to wring their necks, but I'm sure they'd want to slap us around if they heard some of our remarks!

Exactly, and there was a number of WKU shots that hit the rim three or four times before they went in.

I'd say we need Brady to have a more impactful game. She's the leader of the team in so many ways.
This is true. She has been steady (as of late) but we need more! I know what she can do. I have followed most of these girls since high school. In watching the games (again) tonight she has not stood out, but did make some great passes and she always hustles. I really didn't notice much of anything during the game (that stood out) when I was watching it originally, but in re-watching it this evening her defense was on point. She played their shooters very well outside. She always had a hand in their face and think they only got one of the 12 3's off on her due to a double screen from WK. She had 4 or 5 careless turnovers, but that is not usual for her. I think she does all the little things that have to be done, but aren't as noticeable during a game.

I know that Brooke is only 5'4" but her defense really hurt us. She made up for it in points (tonight), but she is just not big enough to defend some of these girls in the Big 12 and NCAA. I think they got 4 or 5 3s off on her. And trying to go on top of a screen EVERY time always gets her in foul trouble. She had 3 I think. Of course I am very happy she finally came alive in this post season. Maybe now her nerves won't get the best of her.

Ariel will be great for us in the future. She is not doing bad whatsoever, but needs to work on less fouls. Her shot is beautiful and very smooth.

Don't understand why Krystal did not play that much. She had a couple of turnovers, but no more than anyone else did. I think we could have used her experience and even her 3 pt. shot today. She proved herself coming off the bench in the Big 12 tournament.

I have never been so impressed with Imani. She has proved herself in my opinion to start and hopefully play more minutes as long as her stamina is there.

Kelsi has had some really good games in the past, unfortunately most of them have been on weaker opponents. If a team has any aggressive players down low she just melts. I'm sure she will progress and get tougher in time. That inbounds from Brady at the end that hit her hands and deflected out was crazy. I blamed Brady for that while I was watching the game, but in re-watching tonight it was a great pass. Not too hard, but of course was a bounce pass around Brady's defender. Kelsi needs to move her feet to the ball. There were no defenders whatsoever on her. Every coach I know says "If it hits you in the hand(s), it should be caught".

Empress didn't play defense very well to start, but a fire got lit under her butt and she definitely gets kudos from me! She keeps getting better! Her and Brianna are a lot alike I think! Once they get "warm" there's no stopping them!!!

All in all, we won. Just wish they wouldn't give me a heart-attack in so many of these games!

McGee-Stafford was referring to three teammates whose seasons were cut short by knee injuries: Nekia Jones, Diani Akigbogun and Nneka Enemkpali.
Doesn't sound good for either Nekia or Diani to play in the NCAAs. Diani is a surprise. I thought she had recovered from her earlier knee injury. Perhaps as an earlier poster mentioned (I am not digging through the back and forward on Tasia to find the post), Nekia has had surgery, ending her season. If those two are gone, our post reserves are pretty thin with only Sara and Lilley to back up Kelsey, Imani and Brianna.

Nekia has been injury-prone her two years at Texas; that's unfortunate for all as she a lot great ball skills. But, if she doesn't make a commitment to physical fitness, she will probably continue to struggle with injuries.

texassports.com writeup on the upcoming match with Cal. They are 2-0 vs Texas on their home court. The team has played well the last part of the season, excepting that last game vs Baylor. They will have a challenge against Cal's constant pressure defense, but if they can get pass it, I like our chances of getting easy shots inside before the Cal defense sets up.

How many basketball players throw the shot?

I believe ex-Horn Carla Littleton threw the shot.

But, Nekia won't be throwing this outdoor season if she had knee surgery.

With Nekia's abilities (girl has moves and court awareness), her body type has given opponents matchup problems galore!

Nekia is on a hoops scholarship, not a track and field scholarship. My point is that her endurance on the basketball court has been an obstacle for two years, and it's possible that her lack of fitness is leading to injuries or perhaps slowing recovery.

Then that's on the coach that put her on a basketball scholarship. Define fitness for a female thrower. She's a thrower that plays basketball, not the other way around.

Plenty of players on this team have been injured. It's part of the game and comes with being female

We beat Cal, we will be playing UConn. No reason not to watch at least part of the game. St. Francis really has no answer inside although their post is playing okay. Stewart really plays more like a wing on offense than a true post although she is inside on D. She would be a tough matchup for Brianna defensively. Maybe we would put Ariel on her. Looks like UConn pressures fullcourt although not the in your face pressure that Cal uses. I would love to see Texas play them. But, first, Cal tomorrow.

I understand and I've watched them play numerous games this season, but not against any Sisters of the Poor U teams.

Nneka might have been the only player we had to match up with Stewart. I don't see any of our other players giving her any competition. But, of course, I hope I'm wrong. But, as Babhorn says...Cal first. Let's get 'em!!! :hookem2:
