America is lost...

Better...
Seriously, drive down 6th street today. Tell me after seeing tents of homeless people blocking boarded up businesses and tell me how liberal policies are good. You are a brainwashed democrat. But please respond on how this is good policy.

I didn’t peg you for a belt and suspenders guy, but here you are.
I don't get it...

The only Austin I’ve been to was Austin 3:16. I take the turnpike around Austin.

It sounds like you might be correct.

But I could get behind this if once you take your payment, you can never ever be on the government teet again. We could end entitlement forever. And 99% of those taking the payoff would be broke in less than 3 years.

IMO this is why people like Jeff Bezos and the Walton family are all for it, they know it will all eventually end up in their hands. Remember all those looted stores, well guess what, those same stores would be getting that money back 10 fold.

Most poor people are poor because they don't know how to be rich, make them rich and they will still end up being poor. Make a self made rich man poor and he will likely end up being rich again.

Most government programs designed to help the poor help the well-connected rich far more than they help the poor. The best example is probably the EIC. That is nothing more than corporate welfare for McDonald's and Walmart.

Pretty much true. If you took every penny Bill Gates had, he may not be one of the richest men in the world in five years, but he would be wealthy. He wouldn't be broke-*** poor or selling dope on the corner.

Of course it would. Let’s come up with a pay out. Is it $1,000, $10,000, $500,000? At some point it bankrupts the US. But who gets it? Obama, Hollywood stars, Lebron, CEO’s of corporations? Just curious.....

Of course the Obamas get it - what were you thinking?

Some Coca Cola employees who took company-provided LinkedIn Learning courses to help them "Be Less White" are actually trying to be less white by wearing blackface and appropriating black culture

I have to wonder how many folks reported this post.

The Details About the 6 Donald Trump Corporate Bankruptcies

i was told bankruptcy wasn’t a bad thing. Referring to the current GOP leader for the 2024 election.

It depends... I don't like it when someone has their debts discharged and then is right back doing what they did before under a new name.

I worked for a real estate developer that suffered a $1 million judgment on a slip and fall case in the Rio Grande Valley. We declared bankruptcy to stay the auction of our 20 condominiums. We built the condos and sold them all except the 20. The day we filed for BK, they were auctioned off for $500K in the aggregate but the auction was voided. At the time they were worth approximately $200K each. We produced a five year plan in BK court that would pay the judgment out of the rentals from the 20 condos and the judge accepted it and stayed the collection efforts. He also believed we would prevail on appeal.

He was right. We won. We only paid attorney's fees. That's a quick synopsis but BK worked correctly in my book.

I'm not sure why BK was made lawful to begin with. Sometimes things happen and time is all that is needed to solve the problems in an orderly fashion and hopefully at arms length and not a fire sale.

I don’t think you can discharge student loan debt.
