Is this right? In the last 48 hours:
a. they've had two de-commits
b. Winston, an aggie lock, then lean, becomes a toss-up.
c. two guys they were "in" on drop them from their list
d. Arkansas re-enters the picture on McNeal, if only as a rumor.
e. apparently they are running out of ships - but who are they holding for?

I'd say my annual Websider Chat Room faves are:

"the impdening investigation" - as you mentioned. usually, this is something that will "blow up and smoke tu's recruiting." Not only does it not come to fruition, but there is something usually so stupid about the entire story that is had to be false from the beginning (e.g., wrong recruit visit weekend, or something that idiotically basic)

"the rankings are rigged" - note, they have zero answer for the rankings pretty closely correlating with offers from top programs. Mentioning this draws responses like "tu's recruits are more highly publicized, so more schools offer them", or some other 19th century-style (pre-film) reasoning.

"tu stud X nearly committed to us" - these are always great, because they include some ridiculous detail that convinces the Ag masses that the story must be true ("how could they make up those details") and is a dead give-away to the non-brainwashed that it is a hilarious fabrication.

Its good to hear that these are in full swing again this year.

rp- you have to admit though, the best part is when alanz, Hop, Luichi, come in w/ some asenine rumor, thought, theory, etc, how everyone joins in and agrees or does a "whoop" or "hell yeah.

then the group joins in and...you know what it looks like after that. hillarious.

Yes, you see "Shrekum" is a "piece of ****" who steals valuable Websider "scoop" and is so scared of EllenZ's imposing presence, he "whines like Nancy Kerrigan" when Ellen "questions his journalistic integrity."

Also in Ellen's fantasy world, she can beat up Reggie White, children don't laugh at her and cabs stop for her on the street

I still never got the "Shrekum" reference (Shrek was more big than fat) nor "whine like Nancy Kerrigan" (wasn't Kerrigan attacked by bat wielding thug Gillulli, thus, whining was actually appropriate?). I think we'll just have to chalk that up to the magic of AZ. If only "Shrekum" had as much professional "integrity" when talking with Rivals' customers about other Rivals' employees and products.

I know. Of course, 90% of people banned from Websider have never even posted there -- its been the subject of about 100 posts on Ketch's board, and other Rivals boards, by puzzled Rivals users.

That's one of the reasons Hop's statement was such a gut buster.

They've not only walled themselves off from the reality of other people on the planet, but also their own actions.

Given the fact that many of their commits are apparently looking elsewhere, they may have to change "Tidbits" to "Shitfits."

60-70% of the "Tidbits" section was about going back in to try to battle other schools (like SMU and Tech) re their decommits and former leans. Apparently, Brandon Leone and RC are going to have a mean pool game. Life in the fastlane of national powerhouse recruiting.
