2025 Recruiting - Softball

Alissa Sneed & MaTaia Lawson make #16 & #17 on the Softball America’s ranking for the 2025 class. Would like to see where Hannah Wells ended up.
 
I think Hannah Wells was recruited for her pitching and not her hitting. First pitcher at Texas that Mike White has committed that is also a good hitter! Just add her to the list of great bats we have!!
 
Caigan Crabtree is getting some big time press on her performance with her nationally ranked Melissa high school team!! Really hitting the ball well!
 
Coahoma with Hannah Wells won a Second straight state title today 3-2 over Grandview! Both of their games at state went in to extra innings! Against Whitesboro they had to come back from a 4-1 deficit!
Coahoma’s record for the year was 33-0!
 
After reading the Max Prep article about their all American team I found that Hannah Wells also made the first team. Cam Salmon made the second team and Anne Wallace made Honorable Mention.

Saw MaTaia Lawson play second and score a run, Alisa Sneed got a hit on the first pitch to her but never did see Hannah Wells bat or play?

I sure hope we can get Goose Hutchens from Iowa Premier Gold. She hit a 300' home run and has a beautiful swing. She's only a 2027 meaning she just finished her Freshman year in HS. She is ranked the number 1 catcher in the 2027 class. She has been to our camp and I believe she is friends with Teigan Kavan. Also we have MaTaia Lawson from that team. Texas seems to have a very good relationship with the Iowa Premier club.

Hannah pitched the second inning in the Futures game. She pitched a long inning. One batter hit a HR off her. However, the following inning, she hit a home run. I was impressed with Lawson. She is awesome at bat and fielding with good base speed.

In the Championship game, after MaTaia got hit by pitch, Goose hit that that Grand Slam she hit was against strong winds... She can probably hit the top floor windows of the bldg behind McCombs left field. All the top schools will be after Goose... I hope that Iowa Premier/Longhorn relationship continues.
