I’m sure you all recall me saying last year that the early enrollees were the best I have ever seen. I think it made a huge difference this year. This group looks just as good but likely not needed so much to contribute for depth, etc.

I haven't been able to watch much on him, what's the take on Trey Owens? KJ Lacey is coming in the next year, I assume Trey is redshirting 2024. Ewers starts next year, with Manning taking over 2025 possibly 2026 if he chooses to stay. Is Trey projectable in the position to lead us into and compete at the highest level? Or is he more or less a solid take to back up the position?

He is a baller. He will be expected to compete for the qb spot.
He wasn't recruited to be a clip board holder.

Trey Owens is a real talent and will come to eventually compete to start. In his senior year he passed for 42 TDs, vs 4 interceptions, and was named Offensive Player of the Year by the Houston Touchdown Club. And on top of that, he’s a real competitor and a fine young man. See his interview with Bobby Burton. We have an embarrassment of riches at the QB position.
