2024/25 Portal Transfers

Not much to report on a portal RB at this time, but Hamilton at OTF confirmed that the staff has been in contact with USC's Quentin Joyner and Alabama's Justice Haynes.

He'll be at Louisville today and will make a decision quickly after that.

Why does any school want a player who has transferred more than once? I think existing players would be resentful of this versus their loyalty.

Indeed. It's now unrestricted Free Agency for the players. Sooner or later some agency is going to have to put some common-sense controls on the portal and NIL - and enforce them.
This is truly the wild west. No way the NFL would ever allow such unrestricted roster auctions every year. Its hard to imagine the same entity cooked up this plan and the play offs. Its like two groups who dont knoe one another are running wild through college football.

Ha, knew it would start daughter (in Nashville) just heard rumor of Arch looking at UNC. Surely Belichek (sp) couldn’t have that kinda pull? Dunno his relationship with family. Unless there’s inside info on numerous other players going I can’t see it.

Don't hold your breath. For at least a decade, it has looked as though 15 year old adolescents are in charge of a lot of things in this country.

Highest bidder wins. Loyalty to school and academics now mean absolutely ZERO. I just have to laugh at those who keep pretending that they mean anything.
