2023 Texas Rangers

Whew, tight, but Smith gets out of T9 and Rangers have chance for a walk-off win in the 9th!!!

Semien bag tag out at second to stop a Card steal to end the inning.

Agree with BSSW sports talkers... Semein is Ranger MVP so far and should be voted to the all star game!!

Double edged sword yesterday with Rangers getting win number 39 but also with confirmation DeGrom is now on 60 day IR. I have serious doubts about whether we see DeGrom again this year. First trip for me to Globe Life is Wednesday evening with Gray on mound and his 6-1 record for the Rangers.

Yeah, I too have not been to Globe Life. Everyone that I know that has gone raves about how awesome it is. Including an Atlanta Braves fan I know that was out there a couple of weeks ago.

Smith from pen in the 9th gets 3 outs and the Good Guys win again!

Going for sweep on Wed.

40-20 on the season... this is getting 2011 fun y'all!!!

I hope the Rangers had some insurance on that DeGrom contract to recoup some of that money. DeGrom was clearly devastated and his press conference highlights were tough to watch, you could tell he felt a connection to this years Rangers team.

Not to be a wise guy, but did anyone expect degrom to pitch after June 30? This was to be expected imo

Those millions might have been better spent on bullpen help and maybe in addition to a marginal starter. Could be bochy or the org wanted his presence in the locker room... who knows.

Astros fan checking in on y’all. Apparently no insurance on Tommy John injury.

Seems like every angelina county resident and native are Stros fans. You can't find ranger (or much Longhorn) garb to buy. Cowboys, Astros, aggy stuff is everywhere

My guess is by mid August the Astros will have the division in hand, but for now we ranger fans are enjoying this... a lot

Well, the win streak ends at 5.

1-0 Cards

Gray was brilliant thru 9 innings! Ranger bats didn't get it done tonight.

Too true. The aggy envy is the worst.

Was in the stands tonight to see Gray’s complete game gem but with 9 men LOB and exactly zero timely hits the Rangers lose 1-0. I hadn’t been out to Globe Life since last year early in the season so it was great just to see some live baseball. I really like the new rules that make games 2 and a half hour affairs and I was reminded again that the new stadium is really nice with great sight lines and on nights like tonight with rain falling outside having a roof to close meant no delays of the game. 5-1 on the homestand was great just wish the bats hadn’t taken tonight off and wasted such a great outing by Gray. On to Tampa and a matchup of the two best records in the AL.

Wow. Rangers won't bow to the woke LGBTQblah blah blah crowd.
No specific Pride night .
"While this decision is beyond aggravating to the Left, the Rangers explained their perspective by saying, "Our commitment is to make everyone feel welcome and included in Rangers baseball. That means in our ballpark, at every game, and in all we do."

Rangers hit the road for first of 3 games tonight with league leading Tampa Bay. Andrew Heaney on the mound with a 4-3 record vs. Taj Bradley (4-2).

I know nothing about TB other than they have been tearing it up this season....

Well, I finally got to attend a game at Globe Life field for the first time last night vs. LAA.

Jack Hill (whom I know from High School in FW & SFA) built a fantastic & impressive facility, plus AC comfort!!! I still love the old Ballpark Hill also built - to me it has more baseball character, just no roof & AC.

Anyway, I expected to see Jon Gray pitch Tues. He was held back due to blister on finger or hand. Cody Bradford was called up from RR to start. Bradford was pretty impressive - 4.5 innings - 1 run on 2 hits against a dangerous lineup.

Rangers had a 3-1 lead after 5 innings...

Unfortunately it unraveled when Owen White came in from the pen. Promtly gave up 3 runs in the top of the 6th. Leclerc gave up 3 more in the top of the 9th and the Rangers lost 7-3. It didn't help the Rangers left a ton of men on base.

Tonight hopefully Heaney 4-4 can get us back in the "Hello Win Column" vs. Reid Detmers (1-5).
