2023 Texas Rangers

Rs beat down the gNATS tonight, stros lose big. Lead is at 3

Chapman looked good, even if not at his peak. That last pitch looked low, but.... "That's the way baseball go"

Was not able to see the game, had to game track on my phone.

Pleased the Good Guys got back on the winning track. 7-2 was the final.

Stros got beat 10-1 by the Mariners! Suspect the game was at Seattle.

Wow, Heaney bad outing... lose to one of the worst teams in baseball. W gets a 8-0 lead and holds on to win 8-3.

Rangers desperately need to win Sunday and take the series.

Ugly loss today - bats have gone silent. Maybe the All-Star Break is coming at the right time. The Astros are breathing down the neck - Rangers need to start second half with a nice long winning streak.

Rangers stumble into the all star break off a rough three weeks going 8-12 over last 20 games. Some starters had uncharacteristic struggles and the bats went silent. Let's hope these days off for most of the team will refresh and refocus for the stretch run.

Rest did them good.

Fri. vs. Indians.... uhh, Guardians. Gray struggled at first, down 0-4 early, settles down and R's come back to CRUSH them 12-4 in later innings!

Good news is they dug deep into vaunted Cleveland bullpen!

Wow, far too many heroes to name tonight!!! :texasflag:

Cleveland must be saying damn! We gotta play 3 more games with those hitters!!!

What pleases us ranger fans... The boys are playing at the top of their game, some have had career season type starts. Also Chapman has looked good

What worries rangers fans...the disastros are just 2 back and you get the feeling they haven't hit stride yet.

Gonna be fun, hopefully

Rangers need to keep the W momentum going with the 'stros right on their heels.

After a poor outing before the break, Heaney needs to get back on track today....

Gray, Eovaldi, Dunning, Perez, Heaney must return their sharpness and the bullpen stay tight.

Very nice W today - great pitching to get the shutout. A W tomorrow to sweep the Indians would be a terrific start to this tough stretch for the Rangers. And it would help if the Angels can find a way to win a game against the Astros.

BTW - with the Angels rapidly falling out of contention and Trout out, the next interesting topic is the status of Shohei. If they trade him, they're not likely to get much in return (he's a rental for the rest of this season) unless the team that gets him can get a long-term contract in the deal - and the chances of that are zero unless it's with the Dodgers.

Haven't seen the replay yet, but Chapman gets the save. Bochy eased him in the closers role I'm hoping

Halos tied in the 8th, 9-9.

Nevermind . Mccormick homers. Stros up by 2

Winning run on 3rd, 1 out, can't advance him 90 feet for the win. 1960s baseball is calling, he'd like to know why you can't figure this game out. This is Easy stuff made difficult

Bottom 10. Choke. 1 out, runner on 2nd, routine groundball double play. Kessinger touches 2nd for the out, bad throw to 1rst. Abreau with an equally half assed attempt to stretch. Runner on 2nd scores easily. Halos win, ranger lead increases to 3
