2023 Recruiting - Football

Per IT, Coach Joseph is watching the South Oak Cliff boys tonight.

Miami picked up a commitment from a five-star CB today who Alabama wanted badly, so we can expect them to keep recruiting Muhammad hard
 
We are looking to fill out the class with 5* and high 4*. I like it. Need to start showing progress on the field more consistently however.

Texas will be by Mansfield Timberview today to check on OL Andre Cojoe, according to IT.

TCU is still trying there.

Given our current defensive scheme, I dont know how we keep anyone. We manage to make every teams WR and RB look like heisman contenders. Wait till KSU and TCU games. Maybe someone can convince pk to actually apply pressure and press coverage to eliminate our opponents 70% 3rd down conversion rate.

It's Dallas ISD; reading is not required to remain eligible particularly if you played on a State Championship team no matter how much the administration had to cheat to accomplish that.
 
Loyalty is as antiquated as leather helmets and Ole' Sarge. It will be the highest bidder who will wear the recruiting crown. Recruiting season will be more frustrating than ever because only when they sign will it be a lock; until they transfer.

I predict there will be a strong movement towards actual contracts such as we have in the NFL because I believe the transfer problem to be the bigger problem. Unless, we believe it's easier to run someone off by helping them transfer (reference, advice etc).

That would be shocking considering their performance this year. They landed one of the best dline classes ever and are just horrible this year. I was at the game with Appalachin State and the were thoroughly whipped up and down the field.

This is the time of year recruits start changing their minds, having 2nd thoughts and whatever. All teams deal with it. NIL and the portal are making it more chaotic and interesting at the same time.

No days off for the staff. Keep recruiting til they sign. Then the real work begins
