The cartoon dog means we are about to get a commit. The specific message called Vasek "cartoon dog" meaning he's the reason for the appearance of the dog.
In other words, Vasek is going to flip.

If he wants to go join that **** show in Norman, less power to himBody language on the Sooner commit does not look that good for us.
Long time till FebVasek is not going anywhere. He just gettin free tickets and escorts. If he was coming to Texas he would have pulled the string.
Have to agree. No signs of a change other than our guys wishing.Body language on the Sooner commit does not look that good for us. He's just kind of there.
Mods are thinking otherwise. Kid is torn. He's been looking to go out of state. Originally it was thought to be Oregon. His fam wants him closer to home. Oki entered the picture late. My money is on him eventually going to UT but it may play out to Feb.Vasek is not going anywhere. He just gettin free tickets and escorts. If he was coming to Texas he would have pulled the string.
No.Did they leave after the 1st quarter?
He's under a lot of pressure. Unlike a lot of kids that enjoy the attention recruiting brings. He doesn't.Body language on the Sooner commit does not look that good for us. He's just kind of there.
Okay, they must have changed sidelines then. /joking
We lose 3 productive DT’s this year. Good news is that Murphy, Collins and Broughton has stepped up. Need 2 good transfers, portals.
Goosby, Manning, Coach Flood, Stroh
I saw him play Frisco Lone Star a couple of weeks ago. Man v. Boys. The other Man on his high school team is a wide receiver who is as tall as Conner with great speed and hands. He is headed to SMU.I love that Connor is going to every game and enrolling in the Spring!
What it feels like being a recruit entering the stadium:
Cool. Thanks for the context. It's most excellent that Rodri has had the opportunity to have international living experience. I know a number of people who lived around the world growing up and, virtually without exception, those people were more mature, well rounded than people without that experience.Dionysus suggested that I provide some context, so here goes. This is a HornFans story. (Sorry if I get carried away.)
My grandson, now 6’ 2” 217, just started playing high school football in April, in Mexico. In 2019 he attended school in Ireland (no football), and when he returned to Mexico for school in the fall of 2020 there was no football due to Covid…until literally April, 2022, 6 months ago.
He tried out for and made what was essentially an all-star team, the Borregos, in Monterrey. Next he was named a captain, to the chagrin of many parents there whose sons had been playing in Mexico for years. The Borregos went undefeated and they won the championship.
Unlike most parents here, his parents didn’t know anything about American football and frankly, they didn’t care. “Rodri” became interested in football because of his obsessive grandfather who started taking him to Texas games at an early age. That included a trip to the USC game at the Coliseum in 2017 where we took a picture with then President Fenves.
After the Borregos, I explained to the family that if he was to have any chance at D1 football (his dream) in the States, he would have to play his “senior year” in the US. Easier said than done. Due to UIL restrictions in Texas and worse, CIF rules in CA, he could not play in 2022. So essentially, unless he reclassified as a Junior and sat out a year, he would not be able to play here.
Enter IMG. No such restrictions in FL. We sent IMG his highlights, and the LB coach was very encouraging. They wanted him, so he went to Florida and started, game one, for the Varsity White team. While most of his teammates had been practicing since July, due to visa restrictions, he couldn’t join the team until August 1.
In August, I contacted SabreHorn, knowing his connections to the Texas program. SH saw the highlights and was encouraging, starting a process that culminated in the unofficial visit to the ISU game.
His mother and yours truly attended. It was one heck of an experience, and folks like CDC (and his office) and Taylor Searels, UT Recruiting Coordinator, were extremely helpful. Taylor was wonderful.
At the event, Rodri was able to connect with LB Coach Choate, so we shall see. Of course, we are working all angles, and
looking at other schools. But Texas is the dream, and there may now be a glimmer of hope. Rodri has the physical attributes and the drive, but he’s raw. He also has people skills off the charts. (I’ve been in Sales for 45 years and have achieved quite a bit of success, but at age 17, he possesses intangibles I only wish I had.)
The Texas visit and this fabulous opportunity would not have happened if not for HornFans! For that, and SabreHorn’s efforts, I (we) will be forever grateful.
