Why would Gabriel leave the sooners for Oregon? NIL $, sooners in SEC, Ducks need a QB, something else?

Perfect illustration is Dillon Gabriel leaving ou . Why? He would have been the starter for 24. If it was because Lebby was gone Why not go to MSU.?
And then Ty Thompson Duck qb who was back up to Nix enters portal after knowing Gabriel is coming. Ty seemed to have good stats. He knew the team and systems. Was he afraid he couldn't compete wiith Gabriel who only has 1 year left. Ty has 2.

But then why did Oregon take Gabriel? Is he substantially better than Ty? Oregon couldn't beat Wash with Heisman candidate Nix . Do they think they can with Gabriel?

For players is it NIL and the portal?
For schools is it CFP?

IMO it’s all about the money. He probably won’t or cannot make it in the League, so he’s working the system, and Oregon has deep pockets. MSU doesn’t.

For myself, the Dillon Gabriel transfer was the most eye popping development in this year's portal carousel. Two things that are not supposed to happen to a top tier college football program have happened to Oklahoma in just the last two years : your head coach being hired away by another program and a first string key starter entering the portal for better opportunities. Perhaps it's time to reevaluate OU's place as a blue blood because they have become a stepping stone.

Hate to break the news to Oregon but Dillion Gabriel is not a Bo Nix.
In fact, very rarely do you get the portal improvement that Bo Nix (Auburn)gave Oregon and Joe Burrow (couch burners)gave LSU or also what Murray and Hurts did at their second landing at OU.
Most portal QB’s just do not improve substantially like Nix and Burrow did.
