Gosh I hope not LSU:puke:. That would be the ultimate betrayal(just kidding). I really thought she entered the portal to be closer to home but I guess not. Between Texas and those two schools, she would’ve really developed at Texas much faster than Miami and LSU but best of luck to wherever she chooses to go.

I think she wants to play more immediately. She has a huge upside but has a ways to go with her development. Definitely wishing her well.
 
I hope my joke about Latasha transferring did not come across as racist. That was not my intension. I liked Latasha as a player, and would probably like her as a person had i met her. I just wish she had stayed a little longer.
Regarding the song, Eyes of Texas, I don't think I have ever understood the true meaning of it. Does it have to do with expectations of graduates of UT? Given the racial sensitivity to some, and the traditional expectations of others, making jokes about it is probably inappropriate. Sorry if I offended anybody.

My only question I have is that did she not like the defensive requirements of playing for Vic? Or was it purely a matter of being a starter? I wonder about players' expectation of the effort needed to play for Vic.

Seems as though she either felt she deserved a bigger role immediately, or didn't like whatever future she saw for herself at Texas... probably both.

lol I have to interject here. I certainly support your site but I do not enjoy so much one bit. Aside from the 2 straight elite 8 seasons this past season and last, this program has mired in mediocrity since Jody left, with an unacceptable 1-18 record against what should be the conference’s cellar dwellar Baylor with still no conference championship in ages and continued losses on games that should be gimmes. It’s been so long I can’t really remember the last conference championship of any kind, since 2003? And some of the WBB fans on here that spout their support I do not find their presence on here adding to my enjoyment, who think they know it all with their arrogance. Thankfully they are low in numbers. While the new regime is certainly a major step in the right direction, a real conference championship (and multiple ones) and a national championship will finally lift this program where it really belongs - the upper echelons of WBB.

Tldr; this sub-board definitely needs more moderation. Anyone that posts opinions and/or facts that are contrary to reality are burned and massacred. Who in their right mind would find this enjoyable?
 
I’m embarrassed. I do get more enjoyment out of this site than the average bear…..and I’ve been a freeloader. My enjoyment comes from reading and participating in discussions with fair and biased Horns fans (mostly). No Mas. I have joined the Sponsor crowd so that my opinions/observations can be read …and sometimes or always ignored ….and I won’t feel guilty about wondering who or why you people are here. And even sometimes wishing some unnamed ones would go away. So I guess I am a Sponsor now for some probationary period. That’s ok. Just so I can participate without having a bodyguard. And Dionysus....please call off your deputy/hitman on me.

Because I am here to discuss Longhorn sports with rationale fans. it's the arrogant and narcissistic ones that I choose to ignore and not dignify a response to. As for support, I will consider a sponsorship if that is what you're asking everyone in the WBB forum to do. :bevo:
 
Hmmm…doubtful Texas gets involved but that is a tough loss for BYU, especially this late in Transfer Season:

BYU basketball star guard Shaylee Gonzales, the reigning West Coast Conference player of the year, has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Gonzales, who averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game last season, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
