It was sarcasm, Sheldon. You are off by 12, the whole conference is dumping money on these kids. I think this coach only mentioned Bama and Georgia by name.

Struck me as funnyFrom the article:
"Nelson graduated from Valdosta High School in 1973, and like the rest of the town, he loves its high school football teams. Since his senior year, Nelson estimates he has missed only five Wildcats football games in 47 seasons, including one for a wedding and another after his father died.
"I don't miss a game for funerals, normally," said Nelson, a retired commercial painter. "But since that was my dad, I figured I better go. Most of the time, I figure they can wait. They're dead, after all."
This is pretty unbelievable to me. Just pathological.

You wanna hear pathological? A friend from Alabama (she is not a football fan, btw) told me a case she knew of first hand. An Auburn fan wouldn't go to his daughter's wedding because she was marrying a Bama grad. She told me that the Auburn/Bama rivalry rises to the level of pure hatred. From the article:

Recruiting is slow right now. Should get wild this summer once visits start.
We are legit in the race for all these out of state OL. That's dye to Sark and Flood. Hopefully we can close the deal on some of them.4* OT from Washington talks Texas yesterday ...
Offensive Tackle Malik Agbo Enticed By Texas's New Coaching Staff

We heard very early with Strong and TH that they Texas high school coaches were very unhappy that they immediately looked to out of state recruits. Will we hear the same with Sark or have they adjusted to the new reality? Anyway it alway baffled me that they think we should not recruit out of state but they seem to invite or at least celebrate out of state colleges. All we need is 5 of them, might as well take the top 5.
I feel the same way about recruits' top 8 top 10 or top 50 or whatever lists.New offers are sucky news. Is this not true for everyone?
Offers, offers, blah, blah offers.
This is a recruiting forum. I believe offers are part of the recruiting process.New offers are sucky news. Is this not true for everyone?

Well, Texas HS coaches (especially in North and East Texas), give equal time to the Texas recruiters and you might learn that the flagship university in Texas fields a football team.We heard very early with Strong and TH that they Texas high school coaches were very unhappy that they immediately looked to out of state recruits. This June 18th weekend is going to be electric if Sark has anything to do with it....and I believe he does. Wouldn't surprise me if two or 3 big names commit. Or it leads to decisions made and they commit on the first signing day.Official visit list. Subject to change.
