2022 Recruiting - Football

Another description of Blue -- 5'11.5, 205 - the #4 RB in the nation and #11 overall prospect in Texas, per the 247Comp

"Adequate height and requisite bulk with a prototypical running back build. Above-average length could allow for more mass. Outstanding production as a junior with 6 of 11 games 200-plus yards and 9.5 yards per carry facing strong competition. Played with impressive contact balance and run-finishing ability. Displays functional run strength beyond listed size. Slippery strong and has repeatedly shown ability to break multiple tackles and maximize runs. Big-play speed verified by 10.97 100 freshman track time. Flashes impressive redirection with quick-footed suddenness in the hole. Doesn't have to gear down much to change directions and bursts off cuts. Unique ability to vary run style from juker to glider to finisher as needed. Limited pass-catching reps. Top-end play speed is good but at times may not live up to sub-11.00 track speed. Looks like one of the top running backs in the country's 2022 class. Projects as a high-major impact starter with long-term NFL Draft early-round potential."
Huge pickup. Bijan part deux with a bit more power.

Blue is a good recruiter for us - Roach even calls him a "magnetic recruiter"

Around the time Quinn Ewers committed last summer, we received word that Blue was a big part of recruiting him to Texas. Blue has been doing some behind the scenes recruiting for a while. In fact, for those who think this had anything to do with LJ Johnson's recruitment, we learned last fall that Blue was part of recruiting Johnson to Texas. As you've seen, it's been tough to recruit behind Bijan Robinson, and the staff wants guys who want to compete as they anticipate filling up the room with big time talent. Blue showed that mentality right off the bat and you saw Stan Drayton and Brandon Harris acknowledge that with some tweets today.

Roach also thinks Blue is better than either of LJ Johnson or Wheaton.

We offered 2022 OT Connor Robertson from Westlake - played right tackle for Cade Klubnik all the way to state. But could be a Center in college. 247 has him athe #26 OG in the country
His dad is UT (attending during the days of Todd Dodge). His mom is Duke and his sisters are Wake Forest. He also has an uncle that played BBall at SMU.
Already has a CB to Texas
Connor Robertson, Westlake, Offensive Tackle

There is some discussion that this is Connor Robertson here
Its hard to tell
We are set to play tOSU in 2025
