The question would be would Westlake have won just as convincingly with Ewers at QB? After watching Ewers for two weeks in a row I am less than impressed - a lot of talent, but the top talent? Also as someone above mentioned his motion needs work.
Sark is one of, if not the, best QB evaluator and developer of QB talent in the country. I believe Sark is one of the best QB talent evaluators/developers in the country so If he thinks he can elevate Ewers he will push hard for him.
However there is one additional issue for Sark to think about. Texas hosts aOSU on 12 September 2026. That would be Ewers' natural (non-RS) senior season. If Sark is worried about facing a 4th year Ewers, he might push now just to eliminate that competition. On the other hand, if he feels by 20206 he will have someone better he might just let it go.
im sure his focus is who HIS QB is going to be in the near future, not the one he might face in 5 years.
