I cant remember if LHN is contractually prohibited from airing Texas HS playoff football or whether it was just an agreement to try and keep aggy happy. Either way, that rule needs to be undone. LHN is the natural home for these games. They have the resources to make a big deal out of it and make it very fun for everyone.

Joe,

Yes it is prohibited thank to our friends in Brazos County. Once again the Aggies acted like three year olds who had their animal crackers stolen. Aggies claimed that it gave Texas an unfair recruiting advantage, so that now families unable to afford or travel to playoffs games get to pay per view the games. I really thought The University could easily have won the right to broadcast the games because of ownership of the UIL. Typical, however, of our previous administrations, Texas grabbed their ankles instead of fighting.

How is it that an entity which has the one of the nation's two best litigators on its board, can't get competent litigation representation?

We offered 2022 DB Bryan Allen Jr of Aledo -- has top end speed with decent size, and his dad is a big Texas fan.

2022 Aledo S Bryan Allen Jr decommitted from LSU
But so far, sound slike aggy. We will see if our new S coach can make a difference

Could be trouble heading LSU's way so there may be a couple more of these
For example 2022 high 4-star S Bryce Anderson from Beaumont West Brook- the #4 S nationality - Ive read he might be receptive to a push from us

I think that was all before aggy actually left
Seems like we should be in a position to renegotiate now - due to "changed circumstances"
It's not like the network is being used for much else

Joseph has a prior relationship with Terrance Brooks
He and his dad were supposed to be happy with the CB coach choice
He looks very good

Joseph has already been in contact with at least Bryan Allen, Terrance Brooks, Landon Hullaby, Denver Harris and Jared Kerr, that we know of

Bo Davis is looking at three 2022 DTs inside the state
Bear Alexander (Denton Ryan)
Jaray Bledsoe (Bremond)
Kristopher Ross (North Shore)

Ross - “Coach Davis told me Texas wants to build a relationship with me, and he was telling me he likes my game.” Bo Davis coached at North Shore way back.

Terry Joseph is also now on the job
Has been in contact with Garland safety Chace Biddle
"We've been told that Joseph has a relentless work ethic on the trail, and this is the second straight day someone reached out to express positive feedback on the new Texas assistant."

AWRIGHT!! A guy from my hometown HS!

Texas probably does not want to do that as Disney probably would try to back out of the deal.

It is the UIL (University [i.e.- University of Texas] Interscholastic League.

Not sure there is any rational case for conflict.

The programing would be a ratings bump over the usual product. And, of course, there would be replays (lots of them, lol).
Live sports programming is one of the top ratings draws, but these would only be of regional interest. On the other hand, there would be some production savings given the same sites. Plus its all family friendly entertainment, in Disney's primary target market.

2022 Aledo S Bryan Allen Jr decommitted from LSU...

Allen has already heard from Director of Player Personnel Drew Hughes, safeties coach Blake Gideon and secondary coach Terry Joseph.
Allen says he was impressed with how heavily Texas came at him and it showed him he's a big priority for them.
Some think he wants to stay in the SEC

Roach on 4-star Thompson, and a Clemson tweet --

2022 Spearman (Texas) athlete Brenen Thompson -- fastest man in Texas is trending toward the Longhorns more than in previous months. Even entering December, Thompson had a good relationship with the staff, but he was also super high on Alabama. Most of what he liked about Alabama is now at Texas, and the Longhorns have the chance to really make a huge push and steal the momentum for the electric speedster.
