2022 Recruiting - Football

It’s been like 2 hours, has Ewers recommitted yet?
That ship has most likely sailed. Sark has been recruiting him. And now he's at Ewers " dream school" and we have a year, crazier things have happened.
Big issue is he loves the tOsu staff especially their qb coach.

5-star QB - alot of these guys pay close attention to OCs and which offenses they think they could perform best in, with an eye on the league

Yup ,he had interest in us this time last year , cooled over the summer and all went dark after Ewers commitment. Conversations re started with the old staff after Ewers de committed. Now with Sark this one may be fun to watch.

A lot of people in SoCal in general and USC supporters in particular, really like Sark.

Looks like things are gonna get spicy for the '22 class. I think Sark makes a big splash. The key will be developing the guys he gets. Wouldn't be surprised if he hauls in a top 5 class.

Hearing reports of the 22' class has indeed taken notice. And expect some surprises fir the 21' class that's left.

Here is GHamilton on Sark, his probable staff of Flood and Banks and the 2022 OLs in Texas. Hopefully this means no more whiffing on in-state OL classes. We cannot afford any repeats on the OL 2021 class

Don't underestimate the Jeff Banks/Kyle Flood continuity on the field and in recruiting. Banks is the lead recruiter on more than 10 2022's in Texas for Alabama.

Banks and Flood are tag team recruiting 2022 OL's ...
Devon Campbell
Neto Umeozulu

OL recruiting was hampered by several things. First and foremost is TH. Win and this doesnt happen. Sark gets the benefit of the doubt but this team has players to compete with most teams. OC will be able to offset OL short comings with play calling. Feeding the rock to Robinson also helps. This crazy RB rotation has been a problem. We have a clear horse and he should be played. I dont think we ruin it because RJ is a solid back as well but again scheme can help it all. I like some of what our OC was doing and wonder if he was hindered by TH like Mack did Harsin.

Frisco Liberty WR Evan Stewart
The priority for Texas is adding dynamic playmaking ability and Stewart shows that in spades. The dynamic deep threat and TikTok superstar seemed like a lock for the Longhorns when Quinn Ewers was on board. Where do things stand now? I was told that Stewart still feels some ties to Ewers, but he’s also still high on Texas. Florida, Oregon, Tennessee and Penn State are other schools I’ve heard about in the mix for Stewart, but Jay Valai has been doing a phenomenal job keeping Texas in it for the big play receiver. Stewart is one of several big targets at the receiver position, but he’s arguably the most important uncommitted target on the board for the Longhorns.

Sarkisian off to a great start!! Almost every crystal ball was pointed in Ohio states direction. I guess after watching that game yesterday he realized just how good Steve is.

Totally wanted this one. The Ewers momentum has been broken. Look for more 22' offensive guys to start following suit pretty soon.

#79 composite player in the country, #14 WR and #12 overall in Texas

WR Armani Winfield, Lewisville (2022): The four-star field-stretcher has been hot and cold on the Horns over the last year. He caught Ewers Fever during the summer but quickly cooled after Ewers' flip to Ohio State. Now, UT has his attention again.

"(Sarkisian's) offense was immaculate," said Winfield. "Some of it I've never seen before. He's definitely a mastermind on offense."

With the amount of highly skilled pass-catchers in Texas for 2022, it'll be interesting to see who Sarkisian prioritizes at wideout.
