Because he isn't there for them daily. The same thing he is criticizing. You really need to take the blinders off at times so you can recognize Republican candidates often have warts of their own.

I can't believe I'm having to get into this with a conservative. It just shows how much lower standards are post-Trump. We don't expect a damn thing any more. It's sad.
"Acknowledging" your kids (whatever that means) and supporting them financially doesn't make one a good father. Is it better than fully abandoning the children? Yes, because it doesn't make the children solely the financial burden of the mother and the government. However, does it give one the credibility and moral authority to judge others for being bad fathers? No. There's a hell of a lot more to it.
Did he teach his kids right from wrong - not just by saying it but by living it in his daily example so they could see it? Did he regularly take his kids to church, pray with them, read the Bible with them, and teach them to follow Christ? Was he there to lovingly discipline his kids when they did wrong? Did he love their mother as Christ loved the church to show his sons how they should treat their future wives and to show his daughters what they should look for in future husbands? When his kids had difficulties in schools, was he there to sit down with them (and/or their teachers) to make sure the difficulties were worked out? When those kids went to bed at night, did he hug them, tell them he loved them, and make them feel secure knowing that Dad will always be there for them and put his own life on the line to protect them and their home? That's the sort of thing a real father does, and the failure to do that sort of thing is the real failure of too many black men. It's not the acknowledgment or the money. Those things are essential, but they're nowhere near enough.
I'm not saying this to suggest that people should go vote for Jeremiah-Wright-Jr.-with-a-touch-of-Ike-Turner. He's a disgusting person with a terrible agenda. I would definitely vote for Herschel, but this country has a real and massive problem of fathers (especially black but far too many white as well) failing to do their jobs. If we're going to have someone speak out on the matter, it should be someone who has walked the walk. That ain't Herschel Walker.

Wow, while I might have tried I certainly cannot describe all my fatherhood experiences as meeting your criteria. But yet I do not feel like a complete failure, of course I’m not publicly criticizing others either (although I might feel free to do so on here). Hypocrite am I.

B. His crazy *** son went on a rant about another African American man being a poor father (I don’t know the details) indicating that the subject of irony was lost on him.
C. I don’t think that Herschel is a POS or even a bad father. He’s just not the one to lecture people on the topic of absent fathers. He would also be a senator that would make Tommy Tuberville seem like the least dumb senator.

Come on. Nobody's perfect, but there's a very broad spectrum between perfection and being crappy. How about trying to meet the criteria and often succeeding? The inability to be perfect doesn't justify being crappy. You may not have been a perfect father, but I'll bet you were a hell of lot better than Herschel was. I'd sure as hell take your criticism seriously before I'd take his.
Would she if I was talking about a Republican? Probably not. And yes, he's disgusting if domestic abuse and racism are disgusting. I think they are. I'm no fan of Walker's, but neither of these guys are decent men.
I'm glad he's doing the most right thing he can after decades of doing all the wrong things. That's better than the alternative, but it doesn't qualify him to lecture people about it. We need a better standard for that.
A black man who has generally been a decent father. If you want an example of someone who would be better, I'll offer Terry Crews. If you want a politician, how about John James from Michigan?

Nowhere near enough. Like I told nash, not being perfect doesn't justify or legitimize being crappy. I'm not perfect, and I don't expect perfection from others. The problem we have in this country isn't men being imperfect. It's men not even giving enough of a crap to try.
Gotta' quibble with you here. Herschel could be the one to politically lecture. But it is essential that he lead every single lecture with an acknowledgement of his own shortcomings in this arena. If he cannot do that, the people who most need to hear the lecture are far, far more likely to tune him out.
A recovering alcoholic can lead a successful AA group, but not without fully revealing his own struggles on his journey to recovery to every member of the group, and repeating them to all new members. Same principle applies here, in my opinion.

Yeah, that's it. It's amazing how when we're talking about a Democrat, it's no big deal. Suddenly the woman is presumed to be a liar who sorta had it coming to her, and even if she's telling the truth, all he did was run over her foot. Who among us hasn't gotten pissed off and hit our wife with the car a few times? Just routine stuff.
Unfortunately, America wins the award, but it ain't just black. Everyone needs to be calling out absentee fathers.

Sadly, you are correct.
True. Blacks get more attention for it because the numbers are much higher and have been for a long time. However, it's far too high among whites as well, so they certainly don't deserve a pass. Furthermore, there are a lot of white fathers who are physically present but mentally checked out. That isn't much better.
Liberals for the most part caused the dissolution of the core household. From Feminism and toxic masculinity, to no genders, to the freebie hand outs to single moms incentivizing this, to you name it. It's all about man hate so men are now taking their ball(s) home (pun intended). I can't even begin to explain the amount of men who view women as hateful and think they are nothing more than an expense. The number of males who will not get married no matter how many kids they have is on the rise because they've been told their whole lives they suck.
There is a movement on the feminist front saying that all males should be required to have a vasectomy. WTF??

But that does not mean they bring anything useful to the table, though they may. We just don't know. for all I know, Kim Kardashian might make a thoughtful, well informed Senator. We just don't know. If you have someone who has been involved in electoral politics and has a record of being interested it is some indicia of a sense of responsibility. I don't think much of Warnock's stances but at least he has been involved a while. Walker is good at self promotion and being a celebrity.

Inflation hurts the elderly because they're on fixed incomes, but it hurts young people too, because their incomes tend to be low. They also don't have investments that can help them weather inflation. It's a crappy deal for them. That's why I used to laugh when the media went on its brief spinfest that inflation mostly hurt the wealthy, when the exact opposite was true. It is the harshest on the poor.
Are young voters smart enough to figure out what's wrong and how to fix it? Probably not. Even if they do, will they prioritize it enough to show up to vote to fix it? Good chance they won't. Remember, Bernie didn't lose to Hillary and Biden. He lost to weed, internet porn, and Nintendo.
i wouldn't assume this means they are leaning more toward GOP. Many of them "disapprove" because they don't think he has done enough crazy left wing crap.

You need to bump that by about 10 years. Your average young person has been filled with so much left-wing crap that it takes them a good decade to sort any of this out. We're getting dumber.
The US is the cornerstone of the global economy. When we catch a cold, so does everyone else. When it comes to global economics, we are almost always patient zero. Every aspect of inflation is not squarely at Biden's feet but it is at the feet of Dem policies. There were going to be supply chain disruptions w/ Covid. Dem policies made them worse. There were going to be inflationary pressures post Covid. Dem Build Back Better made them worse. There were going to be pressures on oil prices. Dem policies made them worse. And so far, Biden has gotten on board with standard Dem policies and even leading up to the election, he made rhetorical statements signaling he was going to do all of this....which made things worse.

US $ inflation is the Federal Reserves fault. Biden and his administration are culpable.
Pretty much every other central bank is doing the same thing. That is on them. The ECB for instance is to blame for EU inflation.
But they are all running the same play book.
