This sucks! Wishing her a full and speedy recovery.Even though Iowa State is a rival, I hate it for Soares that she has a season ending injury. If memory serves me correctly, she already missed a season with an ACL injury.

The medical redshirt rule in WBB is a tougher one to figure out. I can't find the rule on the NCAA's website, so I'm kind of stuck finding articles online. Basically:She did...'20-21.
Similar in some ways to Ayoka Lee. Both proven quantities, both with a fine professional future. To my knowledge, both can return next season if that is their choice.
That's good news for Amo...a medical redshirt for her never occured to me. Thanks. The medical redshirt rule in WBB is a tougher one to figure out. I can't find the rule on the NCAA's website, so I'm kind of stuck finding articles online. Basically:
"To gain a medical redshirt, the athlete cannot compete in more than 30 percent of her team’s games within a season, not counting contests officially designated as scrimmages or exhibition games." However, "games played in postseason tournaments, such as a conference tournament or the NCAA or NIT tournaments, count among the team’s total games played."
So our Aaliyah Moore should get the medical redshirt. She made it to game #9 out of a 32 game minimum schedule (regular season plus at least one Big12 tourney game). That's 28% of the season, so it would seem that AMO should get an extra year. Soares is different story. She made it to game #14 in a 30 game guaranteed schedule (regular season plus at least one Big12 tourney game). That's 46% of the season - so no medical redshirt. But what about adding post-season games? Well, by my count, even if Iowa State swept the Big12 tourney and won the national championship, that would still only be 39 games which would mean Soares played 35% of the season. So I don't think she can get an extra year based upon a medical redshirt. I can't find the official NCAA rule, but here is the article where I found the information (don't see a date on on the article). If someone can find the NCAA rule, I'd love to see if this is accurate:

That loss in Stillwater looks a little better with the Cowgirls win over Baylor in Waco by 5 tonight
Against Texas: 8/20 in threesBaylor had an advantage of watching the film of our game with OSU prior to their match up with the Cowgirls. Baylor knew ahead of time how dangerous OSU is and couldn’t beat them on their home court.
Credit OSU and their coach for getting two big wins in a row.
The one-time waiver rule with immediate eligibility is for first time transfers, so she automatically doesn't meet the criteria for that one. The only other way you get to transfer without sitting is by being a graduate transfer, or have a No Opportunity To Compete Waiver -- neither was the case for Edwards. So... you're right she has to and needs to sit. Those are the rules. Period.Because Dre’una was mentioned a few days ago, thought this interview might interest some. Certain I don’t know the whole story, but I still think Edwards needs to sit. After listening to the interview, I don’t understand Megdal’s inference that this situation is about Coach Elzy being unreasonable, and his reasoning that Edwards should be able to play immediately (at her third (?) school), despite apparently signing an agreement with stipulations concerning graduation.
Any light to be shed on this is welcome.
Dre'Una Edwards of Baylor talks the winding path that landed her in Waco, what she wants from Kentucky | Women's Basketball Podcast — Locked On Women’s Basketball – Daily Podcast On The WNBA
What's sad is that Edwards' friends and family have been waging a pressure campaign on the Kentucky coach on social media. It got to the point where the coach's husband had to jump onto twitter and tell them to BACK OFF the harassment. Not a good look for Edwards and Baylor. But oh, what's new?The one-time waiver rule with immediate eligibility is for first time transfers, so she automatically doesn't meet the criteria for that one. Edwards, Collen, and the rest of the Baylor faithful need to stop their victim act. But then again that behavior is typical of the blessed and highly favored so-called "christians."
Saw parts of that game hoping oU would get their first conference loss. Okie light was on top for almost all of the game, at time by double digits. So it was really annoying to see them c#8p their britches in the 4th Qtr and blow their lead. They were literally just jacking up ill-advised 3's trying to get the lead back. They could have stayed in the game if they had settled for 2s and just been disciplined. oU has been very lucky this year.OU beat Okie St 97-93
Gosh I wonder if Bedlam has ever produced that many total points?

Wouldn’t we have the tiebreaker (for the moment) based on head to head? They have 1 conf loss and we gave 2.
YesWouldn’t we have the tiebreaker (for the moment) based on head to head?
Does the higher ranked team winning help us down the road?At half time, Oklahoma and Iowa State are tied 42-42.
Who do we need want to win this game? Is there a reason to root for one team over the other?
