2021 Recruiting - Football

Might want to check the national stats; they have played 2 very good defenses (both were in top 10 in total defenses and as well as top performing off skill position players. Defense is playing very effectively!!

I was responding to Nash's post about UTEP. I've been to El Paso many times, and there are multiple college campuses in Texas better than UTEP. Maybe Nash was being Facetious.

Can’t speak for the tents or general homeless now cause I haven’t been to EP in a few years. I’ll let you know next time I go but I have many fond memories of UTEP and yes, I find the campus quite unique. Of course being basically a desert rat will bias ones opinion as to beauty, that tis true.
And for those who haven’t been to Austin in awhile trust me, the tent population will astound you. Quite sad.
But to be clear I was responding to the comment about campus not the cities.

WAs Trans Mountain Hwy built when you were there? I can't remember how long it's been around. Astounding views.

Was being finished when I left. I drive over it every time we visit. Remarkable views and has some great hikes off of it up the mountain.

My take on El Paso:

Some very good Mexican food.
Some interesting architecture, including on the UTEP campus.
Somewhat run down.
Remarkably safe for being a big border town right next to Juarez.
Mountain views.
The river isn't really much of a river around EP.
Huge Army presence.
Sunny almost all the time.
Has a beef with the State of New Mexico and vice versa.

Good take Chop. The run down part is true which always makes me sad. There have been many efforts to clean it up and the new Farah Center is a nice effort but I wonder how long it will last.
The last comment about NM is so true and yet I think most of EP considers itself more a part of NM than Tex. When I lived there there was more NM news in paper than Tx. And there was a running contest with Alb as to who had the most consecutive days of sunshine. Always a fun competition because there was always a scramble to find some part of city that had a ray of sunshine when cloudy days threatened the winner.

3 ugly wins in a row. Ain't moving the needle on any recruits. I'm sure Ewers watching today's offensive show.
^^^There is something to what you say. Nine wins in a row, on the other hand, just might move the needle.

I certainly hope the unfortunate reality of this statement irritates other Longhorn fans as much as it does me. I just cant accept that UT may now be like the rest of the US in that what is supposed to be is no longer relevant.
We offered 3 star WR Keithron Lee from Bryan Rudder High. Already committed to UTSA. About to offer unranked OL Austin Uke from Dallas Parish already committed to Holy Cross. Wonder if Bama, Clemson Blow U are wondering why they didn't offer lol

Ha, a Diamond in the Rought! Would be a hoot if they both said no thanks!

A physics major!
He'll cause some sports tutors' heads to explode when they discover he's smarter than they are.

Doubtful he'll have a tutor - those are for the players who graduated in the top 94% of their class. And the test files probably don't have too many old copies of PHY 301 mid-terms.
