Regarding Ashley Chevalier, I thought her team lost in the playoffs a week or so ago; but, I'm seeing recent tweets that they are still playing and winning more games. Perhaps I don't understand California state playoffs.
Interesting, I hope you’re right.Mulkey seems to be paying more attention to point guard Van Lith from Washington than Andrews, it appears. Recent tweets / photos had the entire Baylor coaching staff flying to Washington the other day to visit Van Lith. Of course, if Sarah tweets a photo soon with her and the BU staff, then I'm way off.
Coach A's twitter stalker, Shirley.Don't know who thought she had committed. It was stated clearly that it was a home visit. But she did look good wearing that Texas tee!
I'm someone who likes for things to make sense; the situation at Duncanville leaves so many questions in my head; not that I expect anyone to know the answers, but here's what's perplexing me:
- How did Gusters' Mom get those texts? Had to be from either Rooks or Self-Morgan, and I doubt it was from Self-Morgan. And, why would Rooks share them with anyone?
- While I understand the Gusters are upset about Hannah not being eligible at her new school, Ms. Gusters is basically smearing both Rooks (Hannah's club coach) and Self-Morgan and none of it changes Hannah's eligibility ruling. But, sometimes emotions run high.
- Does all this cause a rift between the Gusters and Rooks and the club team, including players like Deja and Sarah? Would seem awkward for all 3 to remain on the team coached by Rooks.
- That text interchange also paints Deja's Mom in a bad light. Definitely implies that Deja's transfer to Duncanville was for athletic reasons, and the new job for her Mom wasn't the main reason for the move.
- How does all this affect Texas and our recruitment of all 3 of those 2020 recruits? I have no idea. At least we know that there is recent in-person contact with Andrews.
That's putting it mildly. Glad, though, that Ashley and her teammates got a state championship!Like y'all, I don't understand California high school playoffs,
