RB Jase McClellan did make it to Austin for his OV
And I can tell you the ou people are definitely disturbed by this, so maybe it really does have legs?
Sort of reminds me of Eric Dickerson.
Since Trans-Am's are no more I guess we need to keep an eye out for a Camero in his drive.Very impressive. The kid’s strong and fluid. Sort of reminds me of Eric Dickerson.

What we got from Cedric Benson? If I had to chose between Bijan Robinson and Jase I'm taking Bijan every time. Bijan's game is tailor made for the Big 12. He isn't a 20 carries a game guy but he is explosive and will touch the ball 12 to 15 times a game for about 100 to 150 per game.
I keep saying this. Beware of Aledo kids. Jase looks amazing in his film but he is surrounded by so much talent that is well coached you just can't tell how much is him and how much is the guys around him.
What I see from Jase is what we got from Ced Benson, a guy that will be a work horse and give you 85 to 110 a game on about 18 carries, but he isn't explosive nor is he a guy that pound the opponent like Ricky Williams. This means that DC's aren't going to fear him like they would Bijan. No fear means they won't game plan to stop him. I want someone that puts fear into the opposing DC, so much so they game plan to stop him and in turn open things up for the rest of the offense.
I think the aspect being criticized was Ced's lack of breakaway threat. If he had that in his game, he'd have been another Ricky. What we got from Cedric Benson?
Seriously?
Cedric Benson was an absolute stud of a college football player, and a legendary Longhorn. He did keep the coaches up at night in the offseason, but between the lines he was a problem every Saturday.
Dude ran for over 5,500 yards. #9 all time, of all backs. Ever.
You might be a little younger, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But, if there is another Ced in this class, you sign him, and don’t look at another.

About Ced — and I always mention this — had he not collided with Mike Williams as they both tried to chase the Colorado LB who had intercepted Simms (again) in the CCG his freshman year (as I recall), he may have broken Ricky’s record. It took Benson a year to recover from the resulting neck injury. What we got from Cedric Benson?

Ced diid not get the national respect that he deserved and I wonder if an “overly politically correct” university did not promote him because of off the field issues. I personally believe that the treatment of him his senior year is the most glaring example of the b.s. they call the Heisman. What we got from Cedric Benson?

Benson was never the same. Before that, he had more speed, and the ability to reverse field. Afterwards, he became a stud, straightaway power back, good enough for the NFL for over 6000 yards, too. He also helped us beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl! A good comparison would be Roosevelt Leaks, who before his knee injury WAS Earl Campbell (3rd in Heisman as junior), and afterward, was also a very good power back, in the NFL for several years.About Ced — and I always mention this — had he not collided with Mike Williams as they both tried to chase the Colorado LB who had intercepted Simms (again) in the CCG his freshman year (as I recall), he may have broken Ricky’s record. Wow, you are right about that statistics comparison on the Heisman list.Ced diid not get the national respect that he deserved and I wonder if an “overly politically correct” university did not promote him because of off the field issues. I will not argue that he should have won but that he get more respect from the voters.
