2020 Recruiting - Football

New offer to a 2020 WR Rome Odunza (6'2.5,185) of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman - offer went out on Monday - but dunno if the timing had anything to do with Bru McCoy or not

I think Broughton is far from a foregone conclusion for aggy. Am I missing recent news?

And you would be 100% correct. My pick here is based on one thing. He is now tied at the hip to Foot Work King and we all know who he works for.

This isn't a 100% guarantee, but for now I think this pushes him in aggsy favor.

Actually there is a second thing, someone has got it in his ear that he is a 3 tech and if he comes to Texas he would be a 1 which couldn't be further from the truth, here he would be like Te'Quan Graham and primarily a 5 tech

5-star WR Johnny Wilson (6'6) is also supposed to be in Austin for the big June 21 weekend

On Johnny Wilson, West Coast 247 guru Greg Biggins says --

“Oregon looks like the leader at this point with Texas a close second. Washington, UCLA and Ohio State round out his top five."

Weakside DE Noah Arinze (6'5,240) from St Louis
Some of our coaches are at a Summer Camp this weekend St. Charles, MO (~30m outside St. Louis)

Well, we did sign a top prospect FWK trainee last year (Shepard), so that alone doesn't cause me too great of a concern. This is a real solid DE class out there and Broughton could be the best (or certainly close to it). The staff has to keep working it hard and repeatedly dispel the opponents' rumors and sh!t-talking about us.

2020 OL Andrej Karic (6'5,240) from Southlake Carroll
Andrej Karic, Southlake Carroll, Offensive Tackle

Re: Karic. I looked at some of his film. My take: Good pass blocker, good footwork, picks up blitzing defenders well, very good against the fast/quick 'rush ends', strong punch. A legit left tackle prospect. Not worried about his (current) relatively light weight. Plenty of time to pack on muscle. Think Hookfin.

This kid is not 240 lbs, more like 260 or 270. That one picture of him next to Herman you can tell he is filling out very well. as someone already mentioned. Looking at his frame, he can easily carry 300 without having to carry bad weight.

Yep. I'm not worried about his weight. Plus, the 240 lbs listing appears dated, as you point out. Looks like a good prospect.

Ransom is my 2nd most wanted DB out there behind Ringo. I really want to get him in this program. This is the year we need DBs in preparation for our awesome DB hall of 2 years ago because we are going to lose about 4 of them to early entry into the NFL. I have a feeling we lose BJ, Sterns, Cook and Green. So we need a group of guys that can step up as sophomores to be the man.

Hoping for a big day. Right about now, we need some momentum, and some athleticism, and some star players from DFW, and a connection to a top power-program in North Texas, and ...

Jackson's film looks real good, and he appears to have those intangible leadership qualities, as well as a strong arm, speed and strength. By the numbers, he's very solid: 63% completion percentage, 15 TD, 3 INT; 1,500 yds rushing, 23 rushing TDs, 10 yards per carry.

UT WR assistant Rashaad Samples (son of Duncanville's head coach) given credit for helping with Jackson's successful recruitment. Nice work staff!!! Jackson has a teammate or two we're interested in as well.
