2020 Presidential Election: let the jockeying commence

It is stupid. I wouldn't have been willing to yell, "**** Barack Obama either."
I have a really conservative friend who posted on FB yesterday a video of a speech Obama gave when POTUS. It was edited to sound like Obama was calling for the government to be the rulers over people because they are not smart enough to know what is good for them.

Quick Google search led me to the speech. Of course, he did not say that. He was talking about how Europe and Russia had wanted that for years of their peoples and how it had changed.

I called my friend out on it and he thanked me but never took it down. I told him it was not a fair representation of Obama. Curious if any of the liberal posters on here do the same when Trump's speeches and basically everything he does and says is taken out of context.

So, I wouldn't have yelled F Obama either.

Maybe that guy and his friends will start to second guess their choice of "music" now.

The NYT does not make of habit of criticizing, even if mildy, the leaders in the Dem Presidential field. So what is going on here? Is the NYT doing Hillary's bidding? Trying to clear the deck for her?

"Elizabeth Warren’s Days Defending Big Corporations"
" .... Among her corporate clients were Travelers insurance and the aircraft maker Fairchild, as well as one of America’s wealthiest families, the Hunts of Texas. She advocated for a railroad company that wanted to avoid paying for a Superfund cleanup, and advised Dow Chemical as its subsidiary Dow Corning dealt with thousands of complaints from women who said they had been harmed by its silicone breast implants.

But a review by The New York Times, together with interviews with several of Ms. Warren’s former compatriots in the rarefied world of self-described bankruptcy nerds, reveals a complex picture in which many cases defy simple black or white categorization. .... "

Probably. You can tell who they don't want the moment they do their job and ask tough questions.

The liberals on here apparently think it is "fun" to boo the President at a baseball game the day after the ISIS leader is killed. Pieces of ****.

I was at a UT football game in 69 or 70 and the stadium announcer said; "Ladies and Gentlemen. We're proud to have with us today former President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson". The boos rained down like you wouldn't believe. I was embarrassed.

Wow, that is embarrassing.

Could they really want Hillary?
Maybe Biden?

If you're a corporate/Wall Street elite liberal (who dominate the Times and their readership), Warren isn't going to be your favorite candidate. They will say nice things about her, because they don't want their left-wing credentials questioned, but they ultimately want a business-oriented social liberal, not a populist. That's going to mean Clinton, Biden, Buttigieg, or someone of that ilk.

You left out the "lock him up" chant. Karma...

That chant coming from the DC Swamp on the day Trump killed al-Baghdadi will make for a great re-election video for the rest of the country. And probably even added a few new Astros fans as well. Thanks

in 1969 it would have been close to the horror that was Viet Nam. Trump saved lives yesterday. LBJ sent thousands to their deaths.
It was disrespect but understandable LBJ got booed
