2020 Presidential Election: let the jockeying commence

Yeah... some media are fact driven. There are ones proven trustworthy and some whose every story is written from the theme "Trump great ...liberals bad."

There are probably 500 posts here on the West Mall showing all of the mainstream media saying the same things, almost verbatim, over and over. Its like they get a script to read every day and run with it. Thats not fact driven, its called following a narrative and ALL of it has been bashing Trump since he was elected. Happens every time a Republican is elected.

Those same talking points from the msm then end up here. Because CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc all align on the attacking doesn't make it fact.

You aught to spend time with newspapers and magazines. They are way more time-efficient, less biased, more careful with attribution and way less likely to disguise faxt as opinion. The opinion pieces are way more thoughtful. ...more likely to bring eye opening new perspectives.

Newspapers? Please point to a few that are unbiased.
From the Colbert Repot I learned that facts have a well established liberal bias. If you are looking for a newspaper that reports election stealing as plausible may be the New York Post. The Wall Street Journal is run by Murdock, but nevertheless provides some very fine reporting.

So you can’t name one.

I didn’t realize the storming of the capitol started before Trump finished his speech.

You have to judge bias for yourself. I love the Dallas Morning News and it seems very down the middle. But all the stories are written by imperfect humans. Again, they use attribution, which helps make clear the point of view.

I suggest keeping a rough tally of the ratio of negative and positive stories that a media outlet runs on each party. It's the easiest and most objective way to determine bias. You would be hard pressed to find a major media outlet that runs an even number of negative stories on both Republicans and Dems. The DMN for sure is not going to be close to passing that test.

I am not suggesting that we shouldn't still read media from biased sources but we should at least be aware of their bias.

We need to keep this from becoming a liberal witch hunt. I saw an article about a man being fired for photographing himself OUTSIDE the Capitol. That's not fair. Storm the Capitol...face the consequences. Attend the rally and listen to the lies, believe them and march peacefully to the Capitol... that's your right.

No problem with people attending the rally. Anyone who crossed the first police barrier is a criminal.
