2020 Presidential Election: let the jockeying commence

Will
First of all AGAIN, thank you for your service. What you did is absolutely appreciated. I think everyone on here appreciates what you did.
You are not the only one on here who served. There are many on here who served and many had impressive careers serving our country. They don't feel the need to throw that out in every post.

It seems an obsession with you. Would you like us to create a thread thanking you for your service?
Again You did a tremendous thing for our country and we thank you sincerely.
Please don't denigrate that wonderful achievement by trying to use it to justify your opinions. You are entitled to your opinions even if you swept floors.
You are all wee wee'd up over Trump flags as if ONLY Trump supporters have them. Would you like pics of Biden flags in my neighborhood?

You can go ahead and count me in the pessimist category. I just don't see a path for Trump to win with the outstanding counties and mail-in ballots that are remaining. They seem to me to lean too far left for him to overcome.

I am happy to be wrong about this but I fear that I am not.

Rewind to 1994, 2000, and 2010 and replace the word "Progressives" with Gingrich, "Compassionate Conservatives," and Tea Party and that's exactly how the other side feels.
I'll take your word for it. We dont always agree but I've always thought you were a reasonable, thoughtful guy.

Biden has now taken the lead in MI. There is no path for Trump to take those back with the remaining uncounted votes. Unfortunately, it's all over.

All I know is it certainly seems they are approaching the vote count differently in a few of these key states. Looks like Trump is in at least if not better position than same time 2016, but yet all the pessimism as one can clearly see the count is being approached differently.

I won't be convinced until the "bumps" in +R voting from newly counted ballots aren't washed out in Nevada and Arizona.

This is why it's strange to me that people rush in with the "STOP COUNTING BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE ILLEGAL" stuff.

His sole remaining hope is to take GA, NC, NV, AK and PA, which would make it 273-270. File that under longest longshots of longshots in the history of longshots.

Whats the sharpie conspiracy in Maricopa County? I've seen a couple videos outside the polls with people saying the pollsters are making people use sharpies vs pens yet none of the sharpie ballots are able to be scanned. Calling it voter suppression with Trump getting over 60% of election day votes.

Arizona
as of this am
The Maricopa County overnight was a pickup of ~50,000 votes for Trump.
The Biden lead is now ~90k with ~520k ballots outstanding
A 60-40 Trump split of those ballots would put Trump ahead by ~10k
Trump has been winning the count 60-40 or better since late last night.

The Remaining Vote in Pennsylvania Appears to Be Overwhelmingly for Biden

"President Donald Trump leads by nearly 700,000 votes in Pennsylvania as of 5 a.m. ET Wednesday, and Biden’s chances depend on whether he can win a large percentage of the more than 1.4 million absentee ballots that remain to be counted.

So far, Biden has won absentee voters in Pennsylvania, 78% to 21%, according to the secretary of state’s office. The results comport with the findings of preelection surveys and an analysis of absentee ballot requests, which all indicated that Biden held an overwhelming lead among absentee voters.

If Biden won the more than 1.4 million absentee votes by such a large margin, he would net around 800,000 votes — enough to overcome his deficit statewide.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that Biden will win the remaining absentee vote by quite so much. But so far, his standing in the tabulated absentee vote has almost exactly matched our preelection projections for the absentee vote by county, based on New York Times/Siena polling and data from L2, a political data vendor."

The AP reversed its AZ for Biden call

I havent looked at it if AZ were flipped, have you?
Looks like 270 for Trump is AZ flipped and he won GA, NC, AK and PA, but lost NV, WI, MI. But what are the chances of AZ being flipped? Snowballs chance in hell come to mind, and even PA looks like it could go Biden with all the outstanding absentee ballots out.

No, I haven't but that would change the dynamic pretty freaking significantly.

Just looked. If Arizona flips then he would still need to win PA, but he would no longer need NV unless Alaska skews back hard left and he loses there.

Sadly, it looks like it will come down to a legal fight
Although Arizona is still counting votes
Yes, I am telling you there is still a chance

Still a chance but Michigan has to come through although I don't know how much rural area is left in the voting.

According to what I'm seeing, less than 1/10 of what's left in Wayne Co, which is 67% Biden. Would be a miracle at this point.

Whatever happens this still has been a good run. With Covid and a recession occurring I'm not sure even Reagan could have won this. Hopefully. we'll get lucky over the next few hours.
