Third, there's a difference in authenticity. When Trump talks like that, that largely fits the persona he has had for years. He's pretty much being himself, for better or for worse

The lesson: if you're gonna be an *******, do it over a long period time, so that at least it starts being viewed as authentic.

Here is the Federalist on why Bernie lost
I agree with the general idea that it never seemed liked he actually wanted to win. He was never willing to fight for it, this time or last time

" .... Who benefits? A Biden campaign that seized back hold of working class and rural voters who fled Sanders in droves. For Biden, there’s a Cosmo Kramer aspect to this – just falling backwards into money. Most pundits will probably explain this away as just being an indication of how deeply unpopular Hillary Clinton was (and is), but that ignores the definite shift in Sanders’ priorities and representation on the stump. Instead of being a candidate who didn’t see people based on color, who sees racial politics as what the elites use to divide the working class, he was caught in a maelstrom of wokeness that limited his appeal.

Perhaps on some level Sanders was always more interested in being an influencer than a president. He was never willing to do what it takes to win a Democratic Primary – to really take on the obvious attempts of the party establishment to block him, the way Donald Trump did constantly in 2016. In the Fox News townhall Monday, Sanders prefaced his policy critiques of Biden with several compliments. As much as the more extreme corners of his support are willing to call for the guillotine, Sanders was never willing to pick up the shiv. He could have been president – maybe now he can have a podcast...."

Why Bernie Sanders Lost

Announcement coming -- Not sure if Nate the Skate ever formally called Calif for Bernie - was this an attempt to suppress support for him? (i think its clear he and 538 was trying to do that in 2016)

It’s likely he picks a woman running mate. You know I value Warren, dislike Klobuchar. We’ll see.
Picking Fauxcahontas would be almost as stupid as picking Hillary (something mentioned recently). Abrams is a poor choice on even more grounds, not the least of which is the lack of experience with Biden either kicks off or is 25th'ed out of office (both of which cannot be dismissed as eventualities). She made some really poor statements during the last election cycle that WILL be dredged back up if she were placed on the ticket as the running mate...and she won't fly in States that the Dems need to pick up if they want to keep an election even remotely close.

The Dems have serious problem with a lack of a truly energized base...watching the returns on CNN last night, I have seen higher energy levels at a funeral. Even Yang's 'endorsement' of Biden was monotonous.

Lesson for you, if you are a man who likes to fudge pack other men and like to suck knob over a long period of time you're not experimental, you're gay. You are an authentic gay.

Not that there is anything wrong with it.

It's too bad we can't have anonymous candidates. Policy only. We won't know their gender, their race, their sexual preference etc... we won't be able to vote AT ALL based upon what makes us feel good about who or what they are.

POLICY PERIOD.

It is unbelievable how important it is to have the first female or gay or whatever President. It clutters the mind. It brings out the most superficial thought process imaginable in choosing and the most contorted delusional rationalizations imaginable in explaining how a communist didn't win the primary on the LIBERAL side due to misogyny.

When I get the LWV Guide for local races, I try and block out the names and party info and such and just read their answers to the questions to make my initial picks of who I'm voting for.

What is our record in football against the Sooners over the last twenty years?

Their school has improved a lot under Boren and they have not been to NCAA hell since Stoops got hired.

I consider them a good rival and that is all

IMO, health and safety concerns over the coronavirus demand we cancel the 2020 election. Voters should never be put in a position of risking their lives just to cast a vote. So shut it down and let us revisit the issue in 2024. I am sure Democrats will all agree as they are very concerned right now with everyone;s health.

But, in case the Democrats dont care whether we live or die, here is what happened in North Carolina

Suppose he picked Hillary Clinton as his running mate and died in office. Is there anyone who wouldn't at least suspect that she had something to do with it?

Keep in mind, who ever is picked by the DNC is nothing but a puppet for the party, Obama was a puppet, I realized this when the man who took office was completely different than the one who campaigned.

The one thing I can say good about Trump is that he isn't a Republican puppet. He might be a puppet for someone else, but not for the Republicans.

It doesn't matter who is the Democrat nominee, that person won't be running this country even if they win. The DNC has an agenda, it is masked by the notion of helping the poor and fringe of society, but the real agenda is to enslave everyone and create a new American Oligarchy where they are in control and immune to the laws the rest of us are forced to live by.

No right is more important than the 2nd Amendment. As long as this country has more guns in the hands of the people than the government, then we have the power to take back our country from any tyrant, and they know it. The 2nd Amendment makes them fear us.
