2019 Recruiting - Football

Carolina just got a commit from 4 star QB that had been committed to Florida State.
I’m convinced Mack Brown could talk a starving dog off a meat truck.

The EEs to date

-De’Gabriel Floyd
-Roschon Johnson
-Caleb Johnson
-Tyler Johnson
-Jacoby Jones
-Peter Mpagi
-Marcus Tillman
-Jordan Whittington
-Jared Wiley

I'm going on record and say that we will have the best WR duo(he and Jake) in college football in 2-3 years.

JWhitt (6'1,198), without any benefit of college training whatsoever, is already larger than Tre Watson (5'11,195). And he is a quick twitch athlete. Letting him get some downs at RB is one way we get both he and Jake on the field together. Plus, he would be a dynamic receiving threat out of the backfield. Put pressure on the D as many ways as you can

We will see what, if anything, Herman says about that today

That's got to be good news since all the momentum was with Baylor.

People forget about Mike Grandy because he was hurt so early in the Spring and had to retire. But the final 24 hours into his NLI last season got pretty wild too. But our staff never quit him him, and flipped him at last second.

Currently sitting at 21 players
11 from out of state
9 early enrollees
Currently #9 class, per 247
Only one player who signed today is under 6'0, Derrian Brown

Some Texas CBs have come in for Hoofkin.
Mike Roach and Wiltfong, maybe others

So the story on this, according to TFB, is that the Hookfin family just now discovered all the Briles business at Baylor. TFB says the family is new to college football and never really followed it until now

In think our DL numbers are fine. We signed 4 DE and since we hot the top 2 in state DTs last year, reaching would bout have been smart. On the OL front, we need Shepherd to feel good about 2019 class. But its better to recruit 2 who can excel at UT than recruit 5 , if only 2 are good enough to compete for a starting role.
