2019 Recruiting - Football

I've been meaning to ask; why do they call them the New York Football Giants? What other New York Giants in any sport is there?

It dates back to when MLB’s SF Giants played in New York. Fun fact: The Mets are blue and orange to blend the colors of the two teams to leave NYC prior to the Mets’ formation (Dodgers and Giants).

I do know my baseball history a bit. Willie Mays made the catch in 1954 off the bat of Vic Wertz.

A guess:

Long ago, the San Francisco Giants baseball team was known as the NY Giants baseball team. They played in one of the 5 NYC boroughs (but not likely the Bronx since the Yanks are there). The NY "Football" Giants term was probably used to distinguish the teams and the name stuck....

Seems like we have a couple new aggy posters today?
Ive never done that - register at an aggy site and start pretending I was aggy
Have any of you done that?

Would not surprise me if both Jake and JWhitt both got some carries next season
I really enjoy Ian's Xs and Os stuff, they are great if you are into that kind of analysis
But I am not sure making fun of your paying customers is the greatest business strategy ever invented. Fans always overreact - its the very nature of the beast
