2019 Recruiting - Football

From Iowa Central CC
Myron Cunningham is a bit older than many college OLs at 21.
He has 2 years to play and has already used his RS.

This is aggy losing 4-star Bobby Wolfe, as long rumored
We will not pursue
I think Jimbo jumped to commit a few like this one just to get and keep recruiting momentum, knowing he might lose them later

TCU commit OL Andrew Coker (6'6.5/310) of Katy Taylor will visit for the WVU game.

He is a bit of a project (at times uncoordinated looking) but has good upside given his already impressive size and decent nasty streak. Starting this season, we are finally doing well with OL redshirts -- this after a very long dry spell in this regard going back to Mack Brown's final years. He could be one more to add to this sudden OL depth we are building. A potential future LT. TFB thinks we could flip him if we push it with him.

We gotta get his mom onboard though.

Here was the Trey Sanders quote after Drayton went to watch his game last weekend. He and Ingram in same backfield would be special. But, as of this moment, the CBs still favor Bama --

“It was real good to see him. Coach Drayton is like a dad to me. It was good to see him come out here and check us out. He’s always teaching me something. I remember sitting in his running back room one time, and him just teaching me how I can change my game in 15 minutes. Since then, it’s been different for me.”

And here is a snippet from IT on Sanders. They have been extremely reticent to get excited on this recruit --

The recruitment: This recruitment threw me for a loop yesterday. In the span of about 10 minutes both Justin and me heard positives regarding Texas. I've been very cautious (to put it mildly)on UT's chances thus far, but now I could see them landing the five-star.

Timeline: December for the early enrollee. He still has an official visit to Alabama for the Iron Bowl which is obviously a concern. He took his official visit to Texas for the USC game.

Percentages: 40% - Texas, 40% - Alabama, 20% - Florida

A little more on JUCO OL Myron Cunningham

Sidenote on Okafor ^^-- As of this moment, based on his PT and barring catastrophic injuries on the OL, I think he is set to rs this season. If our OL had not been in such horrible shape when he came in, he would have redshirted as a true freshman. Instead he was forced into a key starting role before he was ready. In truth, before he was remotely ready.

Powell put us at #7 in the national rankings with 19 commits, ahead of LSU and behind ou. Even if we land Washington on friday, I dont think it will bump us over #6. To get into the top 5, we will probably need McCoy and/or Sanders.
My guess is that we will end up with 27-29 in this class.

ou: 18 commits, .9202 average rating, best commit - Theo Wease (#18 overall)
Texas: 19 commits, .9134 average rating, best commit - Tyler Johnson (#36 overall)
LSU: 19 commits, .9041 average rating, best commit - Derek Stingley (#4 overall)

----------------------------------------
Also, in terms of Carrington's "Shhh"s -- somebody at TFP put together a timeline
We now know Powell is one of the ?-marks
The other one should drop Friday
