I would rate last seasons play calling at b+ or a-. Much better than the season before which I would give a c at best.If the play calling is good....ummm. No amount of talent can overcome that flaw. Seen it lately? It can frustrate you.
I believe he was rated as a 3 starRivals had him as a 5.8 rated 4 star.
Perhaps Rivals re-rated him after he signed but I recall a 3-star as well. See the link below from 247:
I admit I don't have 2015 data at my disposal only what it says now. I believe some of our recruits this year have gone up from their prior rankings. Will we think they're 3 stars a few years from now, even if they went up in ranking in the last several weeks? Aggies don't agree with those increases. I think it makes some on this board "feel" better if we got a "lesser ranked" guy who did well. I am a true believer in said rankings as we've "discussed" when I tried to make the argument that when your stars are twos and threes you're not competing for a cfp bid, which made some here completely insane...Perhaps Rivals re-rated him after he signed but I recall a 3-star as well. He was a lower ranked prospect who surprised everyone once he was on campus.
Inside Texas' Eric Nahlin says he likes our chances with grad transfer OL Parker Braun. Hand has let him know we need him at OG and told him he feels like we are just that one piece away on the OL.
Also, Coach Herman previously recruited Braun while at UH. Braun played his senior year at Hallsville. He'll visits Feb 15. And Braun has a younger brother who is a 2020 OL out of Florida.

Braun's a stud. He'll start here right away.Inside Texas' Eric Nahlin says he likes our chances with grad transfer OL Parker Braun. Hand has let him know we need him at OG and told him he feels like we are just that one piece away on the OL.

Awful what D. Brown is going through. Hoping for the best and a full recovery. With regard to the possible need to pick to pick up a transfer RB, there are several out there (See Oreg, Ole Miss, FSU, South Car). Ironically enough, if you look at the portal, the 2nd ranked RB transfer is Toneil Carter from Texas.
But too late to try and reel him back in

The better our O line gets, the safer the game becomes for our running backs.Awful what D. Brown is going through. Hoping for the best and a full recovery.
Meanwhile, football-wise, I'd look for the O-staff to start drawing up plays and formations for Whittington and Bru at RB (and maybe even Jake). Also, if Danny can hold on to the ball, he'll be getting a lot of carries this year. We can only expect Ingram to tote the pigskin so many times per game without taking a beating.
Key point, Sangre. The better the team is in the trenches, the more they can dominate the opponent - on both sides of the ball. The better our O line gets, the safer the game becomes for our running backs.
...And JUCO LB Lakia Henry brought his mom with him to Austin for his OV.
This does not sounds so great -- IT says Lakia Henry will go back to Piggy tomorrow for another visit. He has already OVd there. I thought we had positioned ourselves perfect with his last OV. But who knows what those SEC teams are doing.
So when I’m bored and nothing good on TV I make some popcorn with salt and butter and go check out Texag for entertainment. I just read T Hamm believes he’s a Horn. Before this weekend I read on texag the Aggies were laughing at us because they thought we were going to sign J Shepherd. Now they are already calling him a failure that he won’t last. He might be, but that wasn’t what they were saying when they thought they were getting him.
