2018 Senate (& House)

If I still lived in Texas, I would absolutely get one of these.

Right on Joe! robert francis is toast!

Barrack was playing Nevada last night at same time

Good time for a reminder that in his in his 8 year tenure, Barack Obama sent one (ONE!) budget proposal to the Congress? And it was for $3 Trillion. At the Senate, Barrack's one budget got shot down 98-0. Mr. Economic Miracle could not get even a single Dem Senator to vote for his 'budget.' As far as I know, that was his one and only attempt to do anything remotely aimed at economics.

It's obvious. Mr. O'Rourke is woefully unqualified to be a United States Senator. But he is a good mouthpiece for the extremist Left. He's been briefed. Besides, who else will they vote for? It's the same as those who voted for Trump. You pick your party; the politicians themselves are almost meaningless.

Imagine Trump versus Mr. O'Rourke. Trump has not been briefed by the RNC. He was not their guy. Mr. O'Rourke on the other hand is closely tied to the DNC establishment. You're only going to get more of the same.

It would funny if it were not so scary that she is going to be a Congressperson.

I hate having to defend idiots, but I'm of the view that idiots don't have to be lied about and don't have to have their words distorted to make them look like idiots. Doing so only makes the non-idiots look bad. For the most part, idiocy speaks for itself.

Cortez very obviously wasn't talking about bombing Germany to combat climate change. She was talking about restructuring the economy with the aim of stopping climate change as we restructured the economy to defeat Nazi Germany and Japan. (Of course, she left out Japan, because the Japanese were non-white, more directly challenged "Western imperialism," and didn't invade the Soviet Union (meaning they screwed Hitler), so there are limits on how much she can bad-mouth them.) It's still an idiotic idea. In fact, it's almost as idiotic as bombing Germany to stop climate change, but we can be honest about what she said and clearly meant without diminishing her idiocy.

To me, this is probably the single most frustrating thing of all in the political climate; lying or distorting what people say. It's very cynical. For those who engage in it, they are telling us that we don't know any better. That we're easily manipulated. Maybe they're right.

I was just telling a guy this last night, and I have been saying it for almost 40 years. You people who say "well I vote for the person and not the party" are fools. Sorry, not sorry. They can say this and that all they want on the campaign trail - once they get in office, they do what the party says. I have voted straight GOP my entire adult life because of this.

That should not have to be explained
If you find yourself having to explain that, you are doing it wrong

If Trump said the same thing, you know dang good and well the lede on CNN would be that he wants to bomb Europe.

I didn't see the video since social media is blocked at work, but I assumed she meant what you described. Likening the risk of climate change in any way to the Nazi risk during WWII is certifiably loony toons.

It didn't have to explained. Nobody thought she meant we should attack Germany.

You are correct, and that hurts CNN's credibility. Tens of millions of Americans don't take them seriously because of that, and they do that sort of thing because it's the only tool in their shed. They can't criticize him on the merits or with honesty. We don't have to do that. Cortez is a delusional crackpot. We can show that without weakening our own credibility.

I agree. It is completely insane, but we don't have to lower ourselves to the level of crooked media outlets to prove that point.

Right on Joe! robert francis is toast!

This is his real voter base, and who he addressed his campaign at
Maryland plates on a car inside DC
The sticker on left reads "Cape Cod Sea Crabs"
His money and support come from outside Texas -- he is basically running for office in a state that does not exist

What's interesting about that list is that the one state where the Dems have an advantage in early voting is Nevada. Oddly enough, when I was reading an article from some major outlet (I cant' remember which) talking about the troubling signs for conservatives, it talked about the surge in Dem early voting, and how this looked troubling. And guess which state was the sole focus of the article?

Nate Silver, statistician and editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight website, says there's an 86% chance Dems take back the house. Of course, he also said Hillary had a 71% chance, so keep calm and vote.

That is a legitimate too real concern.

Unless you voted in a primary how would anyone know what party affiliation in a general election vote?

How is this not blowing the dog whistle for more lefty violence?

Here was Kellyanne Conway's response --

"Usually when she opens her mouth, respectfully, she offends at least one half of the country, and she did it again, but I think her discourse now is a little bit dangerous.

I don’t like the implications there. It’s one thing to call us deplorable, irredeemable, laugh at people who don’t have all the privileges that she has had with her Ivy League law degree and her marriage to a much more popular man who was actually was a two-term president that she’ll never be ..... I don’t like that kind of talk. I avoid it.

I don’t see all these Democratic candidates banging down Hillary Clinton’s door, asking her to lock arms.

I think it’s not just unfortunate and graceless, but a little bit dangerous, and I would ask her to check that."

Democrats have been asking for more violence, and they are getting it. I guess they never heard the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for"

Following up the would-be ricin attacks on Susan Collins, James Mattis, and others, we now have this -- I am willing to bet they will finally be willing to speak up about it now they some of them have joined the target list. But I also suspect they will not look at the encouragements from people like Hillary and Maxine

edit -- CNN made up the WH part of this story -- why would they do fake news for this story?
