2018 Recruiting - Football

Bonitto situation not looking good say the crystal balls. What really sucks is they're for BlowU.

CBs are becoming less credible to me. On the 19th he had 4 CBs to Texas and basically 11 to OU (2 just after midnight). The last CB to Texas was @ 9:37 pm, with the first CB to OU @ 9:59 followed by the remaining 10. What the hell happened during those 22 minutes? A bank transfer go through?

CBs are just reporters saying who they think recruits will choose NOW. Like an ongoing poll.

It's pretty accurate the day they commit. Lol

Potential Rondale Moore replacement. We will try and get him to OV in January.

Was on my list from earlier of potential alternates

Sounds like LSU is out of it for slot WR Keys (from New Orleans)
If so then it is probably down to a Notre Dame vs. Texas battle

Another candidate for the slot is RB/WR Ta'Zhawn Henry
Same high school as Cook, Jamison, Woodard (Houston Lamar)
Currently a Tech v. TCU battle

update -- CBs now appearing of Alexander to Piggy ..... We may need a better recruiter at the DL

We do get to add a 10th assistant soon
Originally I was thinking we need to definitely get Warehime recruiting help on the OL. But we also have a long list of swings and misses recruiting the DL

Signed
Calvin Avery - Illinois
Bobby Brown - Alabama
Jarrell Cherry - LSU
Chasen Hines - LSU
Jarrett Jackson - Louisville
Dominic Livingston - LSU
Ronnie Perkins - ou
Ron Tatum - ou
Max Wright - aggy

Unsigned
Courtre Alexander - suddenly trending Ark
Daniel Carson - trending Nebraska
Keondre Coburn - Texas? (if we miss here, its on Meekins IMO)
Vernon Jackson - Alabama?
Moro Ojomo - suddenly trending aggy
Joseph Ossai - trending aggy

No worries, the NCAA will implement a new rule next year which will be called the Texas rule. Since Texas can't recruit any DL, the new rule will require any team playing Texas to be penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct for attempting to block during any game against the Texas Longhorns.

Seriously though, we have Micheal Huff help recruiting the best DB class ever. Why don't we have Cory Redding, Casey Hampton, Shaun Rodgers, Malcolm Brown, Hassan Ridgeway, etc. helping us get some decent DL? We may be DBU but we aren't far from being DLU either, doesn't make sense.

Kenneth Sims has been living in Austin. He's still the single most dominate college player I've ever seen.

Also, Tony Degrate & Steve McMichael are nearby

From someone on FB group that’s been pretty accurate and seems to have the know on most things with the Horns. This is interesting. I wonder who it is.

“Hmm I am told we have another commit in the fold, but there will be no announcement until signing day II.

I was asked to not give out hints, but I'd go ahead say most would be surprised to know this kid will be a Horn.

Put it this way, I don't think I've commented on him a single time in the last year.

There. There's a hint.

Not good news for us -- JUCO OL Jahmir Johnson of Arizona Western will be announcing his decision this afternoon. He is not an EE so the thought was he would not announce until later. CBs say little ut.

From the 'thanks Chip Brown' Department -- TFB says LB Nik Bonitto probably not to Texas

It's a really strange thing; this morning I listened in on his show and he was doing a promo and gushing about Longhorn apparel and the like. It's a strange thing to be pimping for the University while simultaneously sticking the knife in the back.

To the other ut, as noted
We never had him in for an OV

Meanwhile Tenn actually landed both Johnson and JUCO TE Dominick Wood-Anderson, who we were also after.
