Thompson's numbers increased quite well junior year to senior

Jr: 187/301, 2730 yards, 28TDs/5int - 586 rushing/3316 total yards
Sr: 222/383, 3249 yards, 37TDs/9int - 861 rushing/4110 total yards

We are still in pursuit of DL Bobby Brown
The key to watch for on this one might be if aggy retains assistant coach Terry Price (and if they dont retain him, we should call him)

DE Jarrett Jackson (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) will be a Dec signee.
He is supposed to OV Louisville next weekend, then decide.
We have an in-home on Friday.
 
Rondale Moore had a connection with Jeff Brohm while at Purdue.
Now Brohm is heading to Tennessee, it appears.
So Brohm will probably make another run at Moore now

If so, then Waddle is also a slot receiver, but we seem to be our of it with him

edit/update -- now it looks like Brohm might not leave Purdue -- lol

This will be our top get for the QB position down the road if he will just hold up the HOOK'EM sign on national signing day.

Edit: He looks on the slim side from the video from his Junior year. Has he lost a lot of weight?
 
We should try to poach, I mean croot, all the OL and DL kids who have been duped, I mean, if their recruiter ain't there no more.

Agree. But we need LBs too. I am glad to see us going wherever we need to go to fill these spots. Into the close, we are making a big push for two Florida LBs and one Florida DL

We are officially targeting JUCO OT Jamir Johnson now
He has ~20 offers from all over (USC, UCLA, Ariz, Louisville ... )
We probably should have acted sooner. This position deserved more urgency than we showed. It is hard for me to believe our coaches thought Connor Williams was returning

IT thinks that Kaitori Leveston will stick with KSU
(but 247 still thinks we have a shot)

It is probably not a great sign that our staff was unable to flip an in-state 3-star from KSU, when it is rumored the head coach at KSU might be retiring

The Texas 247 guys talked to WR Dontre Wilson from DeSoto-Southlake Carroll who was recruited to tOSU back in the day by Tom Herman

— Wilson said Herman was the best recruiter he ever met. He spoke with hundreds — literally — of college coaches throughout the process, but it was Herman that stood out from the pack. Wilson said Herman has an infectious personality and is extremely driven. He added that Herman knows how to relate to kids and is tough to say no to on the recruiting trail. Wilson had some great options closer to home, but he chose Ohio State in large part due to Herman’s recruiting efforts.​
 
OT Frank Fillip has senior film now
He calls it "Blide Side Freak Show"
He is 6'7,275 and has a 4.0 GPA (offers from Harvard, Yale, and Rice)

 
More on OL recruiting

TFB says there is an OL grad transfer we have identified but cannot name yet

This would be great since the new NCAA rules regarding the 25-man limit dont apply to grad transfers (or I dont think they apply. The new rule is a little confusing)

Then he re-injured the same shoulder. Had to have surgery. Was told his career was over (he learned of his medical DQ from a tweet). But he went for a 2nd opinion and got cleared to play again
So he went to a JUCO (Ventura) for one season. If I am counting correctly, he will have 3 years.
He is listed at 6'5,320 - says he will get to 305 for OT
Is close buds with Deshon Elliott, and is aware of the Texas OL situation
Currently has offers from SMU and Minnesota with Miami also showing interest

Double posted this on other board too, with regard to assistant coaches under Jimbo

If Jimbo brings Haggins with him then Terry Price is out at aggy
Which should help us with both Bobby Brown and Max Wright

Also Price is good. He would have to make Herman at least think about it. Price is a better recruiter than Giles.
