2018 Recruiting - Football

Looks like we are going to lose LB commit Adeoye

This guy in a Longhorn group on FB has been pretty accurate on things happening with recruiting. Here is what he just posted.

So let’s see if something plays out.
 
I'm going to watch 7-1 Smithson Valley vs 8-0 SA Judson tonight. I'll give my take on what kind of player or quality of player I think DE DeMarvin Leal. He's a 6'4/275lb DE in the 2019 class. He is a current 4 star according to 24/7, But I'm guessing he'll end up being a 5 star. He does have interest in the Horns.

He said something about the last time he said this it was a flip. So I'm wondering if he was talking about someone flipping to us and if that player would be Perkins?

But if not, he might be talking about Cook.
 
Smithson Valley beat #2 Judson in overtime in an incredible game. I did get to see DE DeMarvin Leal for Judson. He's the real deal, but Smithson Valley did a great job against him for the most part. Judson played 3 up front and D Leal always lined up on the visitor's side of the field. So every quarter he took turns lining up against each OT. DeMarvin was lined up against SV's best OT (who was also a big boy) the 1st and 3 qtr. He wasn't as disruptive against that OT as he was on the other side, but he also was double teamed a lot. Judson had some big boys, but Leal was the biggest. One play he bull rushed the other tackle and pancaked him as he was trying to get to the QB. He did get a hit on the QB on another play as the QB was releasing the ball. Also he came in as a blocking TE on short yardage and goal line plays. I hope we get him.
 
IT says DT Josh Landry (Houston Lamar) will also be on campus Nov 11 and then again Dec 15 for an OV. Landry is close friends with teammate Anthony Cook. Landry is committed to Baylor

There are also rumors that we will get visits from other key guys on Dec 15 --
OL Cameron Wire (Gonzales, LA)
OL Junior Angilau (Salt Lake City, UT)

So, looks like it could be a big cruitin weekend for us. We need to get it together
