If I understand what you are implying, that Boothe is close to Travis and that Travis is negatively recruiting against Texas, then I can assume Texas no longer has a great shot of landing Boothe. I would assume that she would put a lot of trust in what Travis tells her. I can also assume that if he confides in you, then he would also be saying the same things to recruits to help persuade them to go to SMU.

If what you imply is true, then it is unfortunate.

I wouldn't look at it like that. If Coach Mays is recruiting her to SMU that doesn't mean that he's negatively recruiting against Texas. And even if he was negatively recruiting against Texas in the state it wouldn't work because 99% of players in Texas are going to choose Texas over SMU.

Had never heard of Nichols before. She plays for Houston Westbury Christian H.S. and one of the Cy-Fair club teams. A&M offered her a couple of weeks ago. Have to say it's pretty late in the process to be offering 2017 targets; not sure what to think.
 
I'd like to see the rankings after the July evaluation period. Then again, rankings don't really matter. What the coaches see, and evaluate is more important.

Yes, the talent is kind of amazing. Gray would be high on my list, too. Chennedy Carter sounds fantastic. But Sedona Prince is #1 on my wish list. I've never seen her play, but having Imani showed us the luxury of having a tall post for rebounding and blocking, and by the time Sedona gets to college, I bet she'll be pretty amazing. It's fun but a bit nerve racking to think who we might get.
 
Well......Boothe was at SMU all weekend, and what's worse is she trained with Adrian Washington. For those who don't know......Adrian was the main reason Natlie Chou didn't come here and the reason Dry and Justin decommitted. He tried to get Jordan to decommitt also. Doesn't look good for us.

How does it not look good for us? For me the 2017 class was always what I would call a luxury class. If we got Rellah, Megan, or any other top recruit then great. If we didn't or don't get any top recruits for 2017 it would be disappointing, but not the end of the world because the program is in very good shape.

You obviously understand the inner workings of all this stuff. Could you tell us who Adrian Washington is? How do you think he has so much power over these young women's thinking? I'm just really curious.

His real beef (Longhorns) is with George. They were once all together with an organization called Texas Prep. George took the job with Texas and pulled Higgs and Hosey from the organization and put them with Cy fair. Same thing with Chou......she was playing on the same team with Higgs and Hosey. Adrian wasn't going to let her get to Texas with George.

Thank you for the backstory. Seems a rather petty reason to direct players away from a good program and a great university but I've heard a few stories about some AAU coaches caring more about their own feelings/ego/"rep" than what's in the best interest of their players.
