A few years in with Coach Strong, I wonder how accurate the crystal ball has been with Texas commits. He has been such a closer, that I'd guess the crystal ball has been off more with ours. What do y'all think?

What is the consensus on number of slots open for 2017? When is Strong going to get another recruit? Needs to keep it moving forward. Ohio State and Alabama are getting all the good guys!!

Wow! this is a pretty funny post LM. I hope you're kidding. You have seen the last two recruiting hauls brought in by Charlie, right?
 
I'm spoiled (UT went 30 -0 during my time there) and ever hopeful at the same time.
I generally follow Scout's recruiting service and as I recall we ended at number 3 behind Alabama and Ohio State in 2016. This year Ohio State already has 10 of the top 100 pledged! That's an amazing number. I know Charlie is a late commit guy and hope he can turn the RB from Texas, but would like to see a 4 or 5 star guy commit from time to time.

Also, following the amazing haul last year (thanks Baylor), how many slots do we have?

Weekend pick up is a veteran Lou Groza watchlist kicker from LSU. Looks like kicker is not a question anymore for the upcoming season. Now if we could only get a preseason All American QB to transfer in who would be eligible this season! ;)

Texas OL commit Xavier Newman was thought to be shaky on his commitment lately, also considering OU. Maybe he is back on board with us?
