I was a student when we went 4-7 almost losing to North Texas (should have lost). We saw the losses to TCU and Rice. I was in the stands at the 41-3 loss to Miami, the 66-3 to UCLA, the 66-15 to Houston and a few other losess like to Rashaan Salaam, the 1989 loss to PSU, NC State 1999.

I never thought that sitting in the stands in 1987 or 1988 this stadium would host the greatest football player any of us had ever seen or the national champions of football.

Damn people , UT just went to f'n Los Angeles and stole Matt Leinart's mojo.

Nothing will ever top this in our lifetimes. As a sports fan, I think most of us are now complete.

Thank you Vince. Thank you Mack. Thank you to all of the Texas Longhorns. What a great performance and a great year. This has to be the biggest win in the long history of Longhorn Football. After 35 long years of waiting, this is incredibly sweet. What a ride.

Just watched the press conference and award ceremony with Mack, Vince, David Thomas and Michael Huff. I have been a Texas fan practically all of my life and have never been more proud - at least in the last 36 years, or so.

As Jay Leno said last night, "Longhorns and Trojans....sounds like safe sex on Brokeback Mountain."
