You beat me to it!Must be 72 or 74. Played the hogs in Austin in even years.
Yes, I think that was the intent (set the end clock to be Saturday at midnight) so that Friday before game day will show 1 day, x hours before game time. I think @Dionysus may set the clock for 12 am Saturday (midnight Friday) instead of 12 am Sunday (midnight Saturday).I am always somewhat confused by the count of days on this post. It seems to me that the Friday before the first Saturday game day is 1 day to kickoff or the start of the season. Game day Saturday would necessarily be “0”, i.e., there are no more days to count.
If a Friday is numbered “1” in the countdown, then Fridays are numbered 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 36, 43, 50, 57, 64, 71, 78, 85, 92, 99. Thus, the 100 day countdown always starts on a Thursday as day 100.
Since today is a Thursday, the day before the Friday numbered 43, there must be 44 days until game day (time of kickoff on any Saturday is irrelevant), not 43 days, 8 hours and 52 minutes as I write this.
It is a very hot day in late July and I have to have something to do! I welcome information if I am mistaken.
@mchammer Do I have the timing on this thing wrong again?
I fight with this every year. My timer doo-dad on the home page calculates the days until 12:00 AM on 9/3 so it shows 99 today.
