100 day countdown - 2022 version

4th,

I have that picture of Earl that was done as a poster. Fortunate enough to have him sign it. That day, Ohio State lost and we moved up to #1.
 
Hard to beat Ricky as #37. Glenn Blackwood was not too shabby.

YES, one of my favs, too.

1970 Austin: 42-7 was the final - payback time after that close shave in FayetteNam in '69. I was at the game that day with my Dad. Seems like we dined at Night Hawk after the game.

Here's how one Longhorn filmmaker expressed the concept of the iconic colorful Texas high school football coach --note, they say a lot of the same sorts of lines--all over the State, and have since our granddads played ball:

@Dionysus On Friday before the game, the countdown clock will show 00 days and xx hours. This works out because Overshown wears 00 on his jersey. Why would we want to exclude one of our better defensive players from the countdown?

Right. Those xx hours start at 24 hrs (1 day) at midnight Friday morning before the game. Use number 00 for Overshown on Saturday. Put a 1 on a Calendar on Friday Sept. 2nd and count up and you'll see. :hookem::bevo:

Yeah, it didn’t happen that way. We will have 00 on Friday and drive to Austin on Saturday morning, so who gives a rat’s *** then?

From 3rd - 6th grade, I was the biggest kid on the team I played on, so I was the FB and carried the ball a great deal. I crushed some smaller kids and scored some TD's.

However, trying out for RB 7th grade team in Jr. High, the coach several times said "Worster", you are as "slow as my grandmother".

He was right and I was doomed. I was moved to Center and Guard in 7th grade where I stayed on the OL thru my Sr. Year in HS.

Dion, please change the timer end time to Saturday, Sept 3 at 7 pm. I think that is what 4th and 5 wants. Currently the timer end date is 12 am Saturday morning (midnight on Friday).

No! The Timer is correct. It just showed 35:00:00 when the clock struck midnight a few minutes ago.

Yes, so on Friday, Sept 2 at 6 pm, the timer is going to show 00 days and 06 hours. Is that what you want? What OTHERS wanted is to show the day to match the jersey. In other words, on day 34 and 06 hours, we show jersey 34 (not day 35 as you would prefer). We can put it up for a vote, but I think your preference would lose. Alternatively, we can add a day to the timer (by moving the end date to Saturday at 7 pm) as a compromise.
