This is the photo I would have posted. It is iconic!

Yup, it is.

Big Shootout Dec. 6, 1969 in FayetteNam. Remember everything about that day and the game...

The late Jim Bertelsen thankfully scores tying TD: 14 -14!

Happy Feller trots in, Center Weigand snaps, backup QB Donnie Wiggington holds and Feller gives the lead for the first time that day to the Horns... with about 4 nerve-racking minutes left.

Campbell INT saves the day.

Final: 15-14 Horns... whew!

Great hold by Wigginton on the snap to get the 15'th point.
That game had it all. It proves my point that a game doesn't have to be 53-48 to be exciting.

And the unbelievable interception by Danny Lester in the end zone in front of Chuck Dicus earlier in the 4th quarter when Arkansas also could have kicked a likely game winning field goal!

Yes, I have that Lester INT B&W photo but was not able to post it up the last 2 years..

Will try again on day 23.....

Interesting bit of history. DB Danny Lester from one of the Lubbock HS, IIRC, filled in as # 1 WR in 1970 when Cotton Spreyer broke his arm vs ou.

Advise if I am incorrect.

you are correct, but Lester went to Amarillo Tascosa high school, not Lubbock. Died in a car wreck in Houston not long after he played at UT.
