I clearly remember the DKR quote LAGA but honestly it has been so long ago I don't remember who he stated that about. I'm at the office now, but I have bunch of books about UT football at home, if I can remember later, I can probably look it up.
 
I just realized that we passed 90 & did not recognize Tony Brackens. He layed down probably the most vicious hit I've ever seen...Against Tceh...they attempted a fake punt. Brackets cut the play short by the sideline. Tceh's punter decided to take Tony on instead of stepping out of bounds (thus saving himself about 50 IQ points). Tony had a full head of steam & met the unfortunate tcehie at the sideline, knocking him to about the 10th row. Pity the fool. I was suprised the kid got up at all. He didn't until after a loooong commercial break. (Pls forgive me for going backward)

Brackens' hit was brutal, particularly against a kicker, but I still will pick Jeff Leiding's hit on his first play as a Longhorn against Arkansas on Labor Day night. Kind of put everyone on notice that the kid from Tulsa came to play.
