Unless Argentina get an early goal in second half you can expect several blow ups from their players and diving that would make an Italian blush.

All it takes is one moment of brilliance from Messi and the whole tenor of this game changes. You get the sense Germany wants to sit in this lead and counter attack.

Argentinians keep overdribbling and getting caught in possession.

Both sides seem to be embellishing contact with every opportunity, with the Albiceleste bickering at the ref for every decision or non-decision.
 
First fifteen minutes of second half have been fantastic end to end action. Have to believe another goal is coming but for who?
 
And this is where you absolutely don't want to be if you're Albiceleste. Not only are you down two goals, but you'll be feeding ze Germans the fast-break counterattacking opportunities they crave.
 
WOW. 3 nil. Argentina falling apart and Germany announcing that it will dominate world soccer for next decade. If next W/C wasnt in Brazil they would be overwhelming favorites for it.

So if Ghana just doesnt waste a Pk to win conmebol would be 0-3 in quarters after absolutely dominating this tourny. Have to think Spain beats Paraguay and is now favorite to win it all.

The final W/C winner will almost certainly be a UEFA team for first time ever not on European soil.
 
I think it is mostly gone, but I only cooked half the sausage this morning. I am still drinking my Spaten though
 
Can't say I've ever seen the Germans look better in a World Cup than how they are playing in 2010.

Granted, I've only been watching Cups since 1990, but this team has been extraordinary.
 
Germany will certainly appeal the yellow to Mueller but knowing FIFA they will let that travesty stand. Too bad would like to see a full strength Germany in semis against the likely Spaniards.

Its a good thing the US didnt catch the Germans in the round of 16 they might have put 7 or 8 on us.

Amazing result. Figured Germany would win but never imagined it would be 4-0.
