Is it? I find that it's really hard to screw up if you have the right rub then follow times, temps and wrap it.....ok, maybe I find it easy because I know how.

 

If using an offset stick burning smoker, it is not simple. I know how to do it, too.

 

I bought two pellet smokers trying to make that part easier only to realize it's worth the frustration of managing variable wind speeds to get a superior result.

 

Absolutely agree. I have my splits down to what I think is the perfect size to manage temps.

Yep. Split them down with a kindling cracker then cut to size with a miter saw.

Ha, that was my grandfather's favorite term for someone he didn't favor. Turd blossom has been part of my everyday vernacular for over 65 years. And yes, Bohls is a turd blossom.
