I'm sorry for the complete thread hijack, but I went to "419" site (from netslave's sig, I think) and found that his church has 16 articles of faith, or specific items of what they believe.

The church affiliated with the "419" site appears to be fundamentalist.

This reminded me a recent article in the NYT about the Catholic church (so there is a Catholic connection, after all) and the creation of new sins.

I sort of lost all interest in the Pope when I found out he doesn't have magical holy Pope powers. If the Pope could like, light fires with his eyes, that'd be awesome.

They keep "Peter's bones" in a clear plastic tackle box in the excavation beneath the baldacchino. It may be worm-proof, but is it holy?

I saw that after I noticed, picked up, and gave to the lead archaeologist a thoracic vertebra from a cardinal who had been dead for 500 years (this was on the other end of Rome), so it wasn't all that shocking to me.
