What if it was not the Russians?

I think Mueller and his team are taking too much time. Think about it, if it was me and I was getting paid to investigate unlimited budget. Hell, I would hire my buddies and we would investigate something. Need a good writer, a bullshitter, lawyer for laws, organizer, a front man or woman, money person, and a comedian. Just for entertainment. Ok, Trump has businesses in Russia, but do you really think that Putin likes hearing that US is going to spend more money on Defense?

I think it was fully consensual. Can you imagine the uproar if Obama had done that?
Obama has admittedly banged a lot of ladies. Not sure if the porn thing makes it really different between the two.

I think Mueller is being thorough so that his conclusion of no collusion will not be questioned by reasonable folks.

Strozk admitted in one of his text to work-f-buddy Lisa Page that there never was anything to the Russian collusion charge

May 19th, 2017- 'You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I'd be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern that there's no big there there.'

He admitted that his intuition leads him to believe there won't be anything there. There is a difference between saying "my gut sense and concern that there's no big there there" is different from say "we've investigated and found no big there there."

I guess that's better than Trump having an affair with a porn queen. That got you nowhere. Good luck with this one.

Can we all agree that Trump stooped Stormy Daniels? I think that's beyond "rumor" at this point. It was consensual so no allegation of sexual harassment, merely the fact that he sought out a porn star immediately after marrying and impregnating Melania.

As you do....

Can you imagine the outcry if it came out that Obama stooped a porn actress just after marrying and having a baby? I mean, hell, Michelle had the audacity to go without sleeves a few times.

You really think Democrats would bust his balls over that? They wouldn't. In fact, they'd call anyone who criticized him for it a racist if the porn star was a white chick.

The House voted 419-3 for more Russian sanctions. The senate, 98-2. The President announced he won't impose more sanctions. Shocked. Not.

Having Congress determine your foreign policy is not smart, regardless of the circumstances.

There is a lot of truth to that. Of course, when the POTUS refuses to do the obvious for inexplicable reasons Congress needs to act. I blame the Executive branch for not acting.

Having Congress determine your foreign policy is not smart, regardless of the circumstances.

I don't think that's necessarily true. The Constitution gives Congress the power to set foreign policy in some pretty important respects - regulate foreign commerce, declare war, confirm ambassadors, approve treaties, and appropriate money for overseas military operations. It makes the President the commander-in-chief and gives him the power to negotiate treaties (subject to Senate approval) and appoint ambassadors (subject to Senate approval).

I think a pretty good argument can be made that sanctions fit more clearly with Congress as a regulation of foreign commerce than with anything the President has the power to do.

Yeah but the article I read said that these latest sanctions amounted to back seat driving.

The "Russian Probe". Think that through thoroughly. Probe? ( Procto comes to mind) Can somebody, anybody, tell me exactly what is being probed? Other than probing how long the American public will shell out $100K per day to PROBE. Nobody has ever explained to me exactly what Trump conspired with the Russians to do. Ugly comments, financial malfeasance, cattle futures, dead associates, cheating Bernie, nude pictures (please put out my eyes). What did the Russians and Republicans conspire to do? Jesus, between White Water, Bengasi, drop kicking State Department intelligence on a bubba server, ad nauseum, what other 'dirt' might somebody unearth? And where in God's name is it and how was it distributed? In my experience, 'investigations' of whatever nature have something that they investigate. Something specific. Not just STUFF. And, in my experience, investigations yield some sort of results over some logical period of time. I suppose proving the existence or not of some superior being requires an extended period of time. But just STUFF should have a shelf life. I can't imagine anything that this amount of money, over this amount of time could remain in the dark. Help me.

The longer this continues we discover there really were (and are) Russian operatives involved in collusion with US officials. The irony is that the collusion was primarily between the DNC (working for Hillary), top members of the US spy agencies (working for self interests and that would mean Hillary), and the Russians - some of whom are nefarious oligarchs and some of which are on the Kremlin payroll. The truth will likely never come out as the corruption encompasses a wide scope and it is dangerous to look under the rocks.

Really? Maybe I missed that blue dress with evidence on it.

Mueller indictment today
I think Rosenstein has a presser at 1pm

The facts alleged date to 2014 (pre-Trump)
All defendants charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.
Three defendants charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud.
Five defendants charged with aggravated identity theft

DOJ says --
"there is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the alleged unlawful activity.
There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election."

Rosenstein says --

"The indictment says they wanted to promote discord in the United States and undermine public confidence in the democracy, we must not allow them to succeed"

Looking back at the 2016 election, I now have less confidence in the FBI's ability to act in a non-partisan, unbiased manner than I do the US version of democracy

So then the takeaway out of all this is:
No harm, no foul. Everyone gets off scot free; Trump, Hillary, Comey, Wasserman-Schultz, Flynn, Imran Awan, etc. The FBI, Congress, the DNC, Obama, Clapper, and everyone else have a clean slate. We’ll indict a dozen Russians who aren’t even in the country, blame Putin, and move down the road. Peace, Love, and God Bless America.

Is the investigation over? You're not safe yet Mus.
