I adore Cuban music and stuff like that. I grew up with it. My Dad was big into that stuff as well as Jazz. Allow me to share a favorite of mine from the BV Social Club/Afro Cuban Allestrellas. Love the tracks above. I really need to learn how to Salsa and Mambo. Soy sonso.

Dont know about the Stop Making sense tour but saw the tour which The Name of This Band ... came from. was fantastic.

What I know of Dire Straits, Sultans of Swing type stuff, I don't like. I guess I don't like the radio stuff. But I do like what you put up.

I was the same way with The Kinks. Never got into them but a buddy way into their whole catalog made me a cd of what he considered their best stuff and it blew me the F away. They are amazing.

Because this Brit takes apart what is current and popular (and so, if you are a fan of modern pop music, probably better not to watch)

 
I was at the Bookpeople coffee shop today and this song played overhead. It's not one of Dion's most popular songs but I like it.

In D.C. I managed a restaurant that had a big 50'/60's theme and I really grew an appreciation for that song and others like it. Some got really old really quick but I Wonder WHy is not one of them.
