Funny you ask. Here's a variety show episode from the early 80s featuring these very same Aldridge Sisters, along with the most prominent "New Traditionalist" country musician. On the same episode. Buck must have been making a statement of the transition from the old to the new.

The Aldridge Sisters start at 27:10

The New Traditionalist does 2 songs starting at 11:59 and 42.31.
