Week 9 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Kansas St...There's No Place Like Home.

I keep thinking/ hoping the confidence and team feeling I thought they had will come through. Talent is there.
Texas 38

I tend to disagree with this assessment. The strength of our D is the line. Quality, interchangeable parts. KSU tends to be a running team, and not typically a proficient passing offense. If that plays out, we could have a good night.

I agree 100% and not sure why I said that...it was the opposite of my point and thoughts in the post...think i was rushing and just lost focus for a second.
I did think we matched up well..and stated if Martinez played especially it was a good matchup for us. Nor sure what i was thinking there...unless I was thinking coaching, road tendencies, etc.
I thought we matched up well but put us a loss by 1 pt only due to those two concerns...coaching and road woes.
Otherwise, I thought it a very good matchup for us for exactly the reasons you stated.
Glad you caught my attention to it..

Here to eat crow, i predicted a KSU win, I will gladly eat crow every week though if we win. I still want to see our pass defense improve, but it looked to me that our inability at the linebacker position to pick up the RB out of the backfield last night was a consistent problem.

Also, why the heck is Sark not continuing to mix up the calls on offense and continuing to attack in the 2nd half? Running into a 9 man box is asinine, I don't know if Ewers can't audible out of the call or what?

Congratulations to the defense for doing their job last night, 34 points is plenty to win any game in the Big XII, congratulations to the offense for putting up 34 points and specifically to Bijan Robinson for over 200 yards rushing. Now go out and put a complete game together against TCU and repeat that performance the rest of the year. No time to rest.:hookem:

Concur on being willing to eat crow on the game pick...

HOWEVER, we NEED to see this team play TWO complete halves of a game. This crap of getting up 31-10 at the half and then failing or refusing to adjust is NOT the way to be competitive against good programs. The cockroaches were lollygagging their way to a loss against the tortilla tossers but managed to put things together in the second half.

Texas CANNOT afford to lollygag their way through the game...the last thing you want to be is a group of lollygaggers.
